The Pilot Class.
This class would be the only class that can fly planes and choppers. They would one have a pistol and a handful of grenades to help them survive if they had to bail from the plane/chopper.

My reason for this is:

Would stop players flying all over the map as a medic or support, getting time in and kills when these classes should be used on the ground for the good of the squad.

They could be given addition medals/awards for there skills as a "pilot" to replace the ones they wouldn't be able to get unless they got out of the plane/chopper.

Anyway just a idea
Let me know what you guys think and if there any addition please fire away

Yeah man, this has already been discussed thousands of times.

The problem is, would you spawn as "pilot" or spawn as a normal guy and pick up the kit? Personally, I think it should be automatic, as when you get in the plane, the clock starts ticking

Great idea though imo, it should be forwarded to EA

Seen an idea like this before somewhere, and i've always thought to myself, that it would be col if you could take a vehicle according to your kit, like Anti-Tank and engineer can take APC's and tank's only + on foot, then like, pilots can have their own class for flying jets and choppers.

Good idea.

na only when they put more planes in the game cuz there are only 2 planes on a flight carier a good pilot like me :-) will have one the whole game so there stand 31 other pilots on the deck becuse they cant get an airplane and they cant attack becuse they aint got a good weapon, so what im trieing to say is +1 for u

I am thinking about pilot/armor kits too.
It has pros and cons.

Pro:
+ no more stat pushing or getting infantry awards
+ more realistic and logic
+ no more groups which waiting for one vehicle

Con:
- unflexibility: "If u see a free armor/jet/chopper and u dont got the
armor/pilot kit u cant use it..."

And flexibility is a BIG! part of fun!

I think there had to be a kit limitation - for spam preventation.
A counter could show you how many armor/pilot kits left.

So u can apply for it. But everybody got the same chances (maybe higher ranks a little bonus).
And if u die with the armor/jet/chopper x times u lose the the right to drive/fly...

Of cause there must be a solution for tk...

how bout "driver" kits armed with P90 (remember, they are crewmembers)

and unarmoured and a knife,nades and a pistol

and they can drive any veh with more agility?

It would also stop people going to ther other team's base to steal planes and helis etc. if you are only armed with a pistol... (unless you went there in a plane).
Oh, and you should give them a Desert Eagle for the power behind each bullet.

Hmm.....designated drivers?  What about a waterboy?  Oh wait, I guess that's the medic.  Or a commander class so he doesn't run around killing when he should be commanding.....also unable to get into vehicles.

What about 1 pilot kit per pilotseat of a plane/chopper (not needed for gunning) which is at the side of the airfield. This kit would respawn, as soon the last pilot who took it, is in the air or died. So you get a queue for the next use of a plane.

The speciality of this kit:
-On the ground, outside of the airfield you get killed slow as if you would leave the battlefield.
--> This would force the pilot to take the plane and he can not block it, by leaving the airfield. And he will not bail out for no reason, sacrificing the plane. The gunner still can leave the chopper and take a flag.

-If you TK a pilot you get a tripple penalty. Mins 12 points or so. (Or even -16 pkt)
--> so pilots who wait dont get killed for a plane.

-If a Pilot TK's a soldier and does not use one of his weapons (gun, bomb.....), he will not get minus points.
--> No minus points if noobs/jealous players run in front of plane
--> No minus points if your plain explodes and kills you gunner.

This would also stop the chopperpilots who go solo. As you can no longer enter the gunnerseat as pilot.
