BF2S Forums one requirement for the far east and mid-east ribbion.

I don't think those are army-focused ribbons.  I got my Mid-East svc ribbon as US on Karkand.  Nice theory but I don't think that's it.

Oh, I get yer....why have I played the sniper much longer than you but have the same kills as you?

If that's your question, the answer is simple...

1) When I started playing I almost exclusively played a sniper (so been playing sniper as first (learning) kit)
2) Before I got a 'feel' for the game I played a 'reserved' sniper. Your classic sniper... Hunt for a spot...make a kill...move on...slowly...slowly...catchy...monkey
3) If I want to play, but I'm real tired or whatever, I'll hit the sniper kit, so I can still help a squad, but I don't have to be running round like a maniac killing stuff.

Even with all this I was (before I got into playing other kits) in the top 2000 snipers. Not bad for a n00b.

And now I've found more confidence in the pistol, my sniper kills are faster, I keel confident enough to actually run with the squad now. Jeeez...the pistol is an AWESOME weapon...lol much better than most of the other guns

Have you played each map the chinese has since the v1.3 patch?  I believe that is the other piece of the puzzle, but who knows for sure.  I know my friend had won a round on each map as well, so maybe that had something to do with it too.  I guess the only way to be certain would be to start with a fresh profile and test the theory.  But im certain you only have to play each map once that each side uses, my friend proved that one, i am just unsure of the wins or losses impact.

Someone might have said this before in this topic but I'm too lazy to read through everything....

Anyway, I think to get both of these ribbons you just have to play every map for either the MEC and the PLA. I don't think there are any win or time restrictions.
