just want to know if there is a trick to air to air missle lock on. For some reason, i will get lock tone on a jet flying straight, doesnt take evasive manuvers or anything, and the missle goes right past him. What am i doing wrong?
Chances are they launched lock on couter-measures (flares) which divert missiles.
Too Close... and maybe going faster than him is my guess...err...maybe
you were probably to close to the jet.
nope i was a good ways back, no flares no nada..
missles are crap, just use ur guns and aim for the cockpit.
Missles aren't guaranteed to work at all, if he's flying straight like you say approach with the bombing sights and tear him up with the gun.
