What do you hate most about Karkand?

I quite like Karkand.
Oh yeah and i DO
i) take out Armour
ii) Cap flags

What i hate is most of the time:
i)Im playing as MEC and every fcker on mec that is just tries to stat pad/protect the freakin hotel, when its meaningless... Oh well at least i tend not to do that
ii)USMC spawn camping the hotel
iii)Nading like a blind man arghhh so annoying
iv)nOObs punishing you....

Thats it I guess...

1. Claymore spamming
2. Grenade spamming at the start of the round
3. Nobody on the MEC gives a shit when all of the flags across the water are capped by the US. They still spawn at hotel and spam grenades/pkm whore
4. Armour whores on america that just spawn rape.

It annoys me a lot this map, I used to love it when I first got the game, I dont remember there being any of the problems I've listed when I got it. When the PKM became l33t, everyone used that and then the grenade spamming started and claymore whoring, then it became shit.

It's my favourite map yes, but only because when I play late at night there arent many full servers and a lot of them are either city maps or karkand every 2nd map or something like that.

I hear ya! When I am on with clan mates, we do that..bypass hotel when USMC and do an end run to either gatehouse or suburbs (or both...)

Other than that, it can he hard to get anyone to help ... I remember being at gatehouse and asking for help...no one comes... and then I ask the team why they won't leave the hotel battle... (That "strategic" throw-away point on the map) and they say "Cuz it's the MAIN FLAG"

Sigh.....

Every spawn at the hotel is a tank/apc whore magnet unless you spawn next to the flag. You should at least be able to spawn without having a cannon in your face. The rest of the map is fine, but hotel is a serious design flaw. And thats besides the bugs/glitching.

I don't know:

As MEC don't spawn at the hotel, if there's the action. I wouldn't mind about spawnrapers there, if you're trying it again and again you don't have to wonder (I would kill you too if I saw you spawning in front of me).

More important: As USMC don't go for the hotel but for almost any other flag. Most effectly is always the factory because some MECs will miss the armored vehicles for sure. I think there are enough ways to avoid the chaos around the hotel.

What I hate is not Karkand specific but it happens there more often than anywhere else. People that go for armor as assault or something that useless which are absolutly no help if you're a vehicle yourself.

You have put the finger on the biggest problem...but i would extend it to the mec too...EVERYBODY with some rare exception think that the Hotel is THE flag to alway cap...come on 40 people fighting for the hotel...and only about 10 all over the rest of the map..i mean...WTF!

The reason everyone spawns at hotel is because it is always a kill fest there and some people don't want to play a game, they want to pad their scores. I think its crazy that people have 4000 rounds of karkand and 5 rounds of all the other maps. Why even play BF2 at that point.
