all fair in bf and war
It might be war, but its a game and games need to be fair.
ALL claymore whores need to die. Grow some balls and fight. Plus, claymore whoring is basically stat padding! You see it and it kills you, you can't really avoid it and can be used multiple times to free points and kills.
How the hell is is stat padding? I guess artillery is stat padding too, or nades, or fully automatic weapons?
'Grow balls and fight'? What? CQC with a sniper rifle or small-arm? You want a sniper to fight on your terms or he's a pussy? I might just as well say grow some balls and stop using a spray-and-prey weapon.

before it was grenade launchers, now its claymores. You people play snipers only to toss claymores around because its a crutch for your piss-poor skills with a rifle.
You spec-ops use C4 as a crutch for your piss-poor skills with firearms.
You assault guys use automatic weapons as a crutch for you piss-poor skills at aiming.
You engineer guys use AT mines as a crutch for your piss-poor skills in all combat.
You medic guys use mad kits as a crutch for you and your teams piss-poor skills at avoiding getting shot at.
You support guys use supply bags as a crutch for your piss-poor skills at saving ammo.
What a crock of crap, sorry but that's just a dumb thing to say.

if it wasnt for that stupid award, i would never use claymores, and i would never snipe. i can get way more points as medic or engy than i can with sniper
Cos that's what the game is all about.

PRiMACORD sait it, when you get killed by a better player you take your hat and say to yourself that this guy was better, but getting killed by a Claymore is the opposite. Claymores do not require any skill, you don't got any possibilities to destroy them if they're well placed.
Claymores are a fact of this game and have been since the start, if you haven't gotten used to that it's a shame. Yes, some can not be avoided, these are the well places ones, the ones that require some skill in determining the flow of the fight. A sniper has only 2 of these things and he wants to cause the most disruption to the enemy with them.
It could be best used to keep him alive and concentrating on his scope, or it could be used as a defence on the wider battlefield.
Not all snipers are campers. I tend to get bored camping and so place clays in choke points, in corridors, doorways and of course flags. Sometimes I place them out in the open, I do this to direct the enemy down another route, this other route is usually where I am covering with my rifle or a concealed clay.
At a flag, again I will sometimes place them out of sight to get kills & flag defends but I'll often make them obvious so that any attackers see them and try to cap the flag from a bad (less concealed) position. I can then pick them off with the rifle or nades and my clays stay to do their job for longer.
I don't play sniper that much but I do appreciate the strategies of each kit. The sniper is not a close combat kit and is seriously underpowered when found in this position. He needs to use evasion and movement to control his position in relation to the fight and reduce the number of times he is found in CQC. A sniper up close with an assault rifle guy is going to use whatever is best for him and his team. Rifle, pistol and knife are unlikely to prevent this threat from reaching it's objective but by throwing down a clay he may slow the attack enough to be able to re-spawn and do something about it.
If you don't like it then approach snipers with care and don't look at them as just the soft targets they typically are in close quarters against AKs and shit.
neg me if you like but come back here and tell everyone why, I appreciate a reasoned discussion.
Any random negs I get will be posted here as an example of someone without a reasoned answer to my arguments.
