It's just an animation. You probably do it all the time, but it doesn't show you rolling.

Screw that. I wan't choreographed Equilibrium style base-pillaging. Also, I want the option to do cartwheels instead of rolling. And would it hurt to have characters "trip" every once in awhile so they stumble, fall and accidentally fire off a few rounds into their squadmates' backs like a retard?

Just Press Prone (stardard Botton Is 'z') And The Animation Will Show To Other Players, But Has No Effect To Your Ingame Screen.

This is starting to look like an Abbott and Costello routine!

Good lord... okay fine, here it is, this is the last post in this thread because I will explain it all in one fell swoop. The rolling animation you see is simply an animation, your screen does not flip around like a carnival ride. In order to get your character to do the animation so that others can see it all you have to do is press prone and then quickly press either strafe key. Congratulations your character has now rolled.
