Now, I am by no account a bad pilot, infact am fairly highly ranked with it, but I can't for the life of me work out a proper way of evasion in those damm fighters.  Bombers are fine.......doesnt seem to work when I am in a F-35.

Everyone knows, that the J-10 rains supreme on wake island, and indeed, on any map, though a competint F-18 pilot can give him something to worry about.  Usually, when i hear the missile lock, I will switch to out side view and dodge missiles as they come in (in the J-10 atleast) this method works..........90% of the time.  Of late I have tried the other method, of every half barrel row, blast the after burner on, bt to often some prick mangages to get me after blowin his whole aresenal of missiles at me.........So that aint it.

Now I know there probably isnt a full guarenteed 100% method to evasion, heck iv managed to bring down a few guys in the top 100 a fair few times, and indeed i suppose in a j-10 my biggest enemy is my self.

But ohh dear God those F-35s, someone tell me WTF to do.  I've tried to observe how pilots dodge in F-35s, but most like me, fall victim to a persuin J-10, always feel sorry for them when there brought down.  Recently, iv been on small servers, uhhh mostly coz i've not played in a while, plus till my new graphics card is installed, runing everything on low, while on a full 50+ player server....its just......REGARDLESS of that, as I was saying, the other day i was chasin an f-35, and noticed the pilot dodged the missiles........Went in after him again, with no lock, just with bombing mode on, and managed to criple him enough that he bailed then commited suicide (WHY ppl do that i dont know, u loose -2 and a death, all to stop ur enemy gettin +2).  Of late I tried his style and today, i did it (went into outside view) and watched 3 missiles sail by...Thing is, I dunno wtf i did, had my joystick goin every direction, took a hit, but dodged the others.

I guess what I am after, and no doubt many of you lot are, is a step by step guide, as to what you should do about evastion (prefairibly with joystick but i know many use keyboard so i suppose both would be great)

And on a related note, has something happened to the planes handling.......maybe its coz i am out of practise but it seems there dead in responce to an input of right ruder and right barrel.......

apoligies if my technical linguo aint sufficient, tbh i could give a rats ass but theres lot's of pedantic fuck tards around so there you are.

OR, if anyone is considering it, how about an aviator video, in the style of those heli vids by -ArmyDr- (which btw are fan feckin tastic )  Anyone could take pointers from them, and no doubt theres lot's of tricks to be learned by many a pilot, who cant seem to stay up long enough to do any damage.

Anyhoo, any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks guys

If you're in an F-35 and a j-10 gets a lock on you:

bail out

It's what I do.

It's another way of DICE to show how shitty their coding is. IRL the F-35 is thee ownage.

I have dodged a few missiles in the F35 but its more luck than anything, i have seen some one evade the missile then we both do the exact same thing and it hits him, i just think the missiles are temperamental

Seriously, all I use the F-35 for is transportation to the airfield to cap it/steal a J-10.

Just found this tip on a very old post ... maybe it works, I'm not sure.

***** F-35. The game seems to have the heat source on the jet's flames. When your getting shot at throw it in complete reverse and pull back. Your flames go under your jet's frame and the missles tend to fly strait under you and on through. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. This won't work on jets that still use their m-guns.*****

The only tip I can offer is never allow an enemy aircraft to get on your tail when flying an F-35. This is best achieved  by flying higher than 400 metres for two obvious reasons. First, ground based AA systems cannot track you at that height and second, most pilots fly below this altitude giving you the advantage.

Edit: Could you put a link up to your stats Bell? Cheers

i usually fly the j10, and can usually dodge 95% of things (sometimes not trees)...anyways a tip for using the f-35b if u happen to get stuck using it, is to fly @ about 600-700 altitude before making strafing/ bombing runs. return to that altitude after the attack. this way most j10s or aa will not see you, and if they do, u can usually avoid them by pulling tight down, and to one side. the f-35 will travel alot faster than j10s in higher altitudes, so use this to ur advantage. however, if u go past 800, u will risk losing control. apart from that, just bail

I don't need to, i just turn very hard with afterburners going off then maneuver behind that thing. Lock on and just launch all 6 missiles before he can turn or use his flares.

oo yea another technique, which almost always dodges the enemy missiles, is to (heres your step to step guide)
1. Fly low, then turn mouse/joystick to the left, so u are upsidedown.
2. pull the mouse up, or joystick up, really tight, to get the jet doing half a loop higher in the sky.
3. head down a little, flip your jet upside down again (the second step will put u face up)
4. repeat step 2
5. hopefully u lived, and can continue to escape..
this makes an s type pattern in the sky, and if u do it quickly and sharp enough it will have worked..however this technique is known by many of the good pilots.

There's a massive guide on Wiki I think. All about Aviator and very comprehensive.

http://wiki.bf2s.com/tactical-guides/aviator-tactics

There, that's it

you could also try: roll left or right till you are upside down and make a half loop towards the ground. But don't try this if you are not above 300 feet cause else you will end up being dead.

So fly high, dive for bombing, get high again and return to carrier. if you are followed, you could try what I explained above. Doesn't work always, but I usually get away when average players follow me.
