Note, I consider the lineback to be armor more than aa. Damn effective against any type of ground unit short of a tank.

My preference is as a foot soldier. I will jump in vehicles if need be, or to stop enemies getting them, but I generally prefer to be fighting on foot, face-to-face and all that.

I'm a helo pilot. I'm doing extreemly well vs. planes (dodging them) and in helo fights.
After that i'm a tank commander.

Mostly assault than engineer and medic.

I love being commander. I'm just so good at it, and I really feel like I'm playing a completely different game when I'm commander. Also, having a crappy computer doesn't matter so much as commander, which is a plus.
But there are plenty of times when I can't be commander, or when I'd just prefer not to be, and during those times I choose to be either a sniper or a spec ops guy. If I want a slower game, I go for Sniper, because I'm pretty good at finding hiding spots, and if I find a nice one way up high I can be a valuable member of a team, with or without my weapons. I spot for people or contact them through the mic and let them know what's up.
If I'm in the mood to get some kills in, and just play a faster paced game, or if it's just not a good map for a sniper, I go with spec ops. I'm not extraordinary or anything, but I have a pretty good time and for a n00b, I don't do terrible. Plus, the very nature of spec ops lets me be creative and versatile, and to an extent really lets me use my brain. Setting up traps with C4, or sneaking up on snipers and knifing them, all of this is a ton of fun for me. Tossing a few charges off a building and just waiting for someone to get close to it is the greatest, plus if you have some good ears you can toss C4 at the side of a ladder and you don't have to worry about teamkilling if someone pokes their head up.
And with the accuracy of the M4, you can use it as a pretty decent close-to-medium ranged sniper rifle.

I enjoy playing AT, Engineer, Spec. Ops and Support. Currently, I think my favorite is AT, especially on city maps(love that DAO for CQC!).
On some of the more open maps, I usually jump in a tank or APC.

Medic. Especially fun when working in a good squad (a rare occurance, sadly) so you can keep your men going. After that I'm SpecOps (gotta love that G36) or AT
cant fly (gunner only heh), so I use all what I can find on the ground to take off more enemy tickets. Usually on foot. Not rly long time ago switched from support to assault so I can stay alive longer in a footfight. (P.S. yes I use M203/GP-30, not NOOB TUBING, but to blow up vehicles LOL).

hmm i actually play whatever is necessary.
if there a plane i fly it, if theres a jeep i take it, if i join a squad in the mid field i take whatever role is needed in the squad. it really doesnt matter i play anything.
and i was missing that option: Overall Player.

I'd take sniper sir . After that a Medic. And THEN a attack/transportation chopper .
I'm a true marine. Air, land and sea. Mostly on foot though. I like sniping sometimes as it's so fun bringing down someone with a skillfully aimed shot. One shot. I'm getting a few of those lately and it's sweet! No-one starts yelling "n00b, OMFG, sniping is so n00bish!" because it's a tricky fuckin' skill. My favourite class is Rambo. That's just awesome.
I love gunning multiple enemies down and then diving to the side, reaching for an AT kit to take care of the transport that just went around the corner. When the smoke clears i'm striding out, minigun slung over my shoulder. A bullet hole in one arm, and enemy bloody splattered everywhere...
(I'm aware it's not actually a class. More of a mindset.)
