People only use their pistols whenthey run out of ammo from their primary weapon, except snipers who use them for CQB and then swich to their sniping rifles to snipe.

I started to use my silenced pistol for spec ops only if i can get close and pop them in the back.

Look in the Battlefield 2 Special Forces Video where a Seal takes down a sniper in a belltower with just two rounds of the 92FS beretta pistol.

Should i be using more my silenced pistol more , or not use it at all?

all movies made by a developer are cool because they make the guns seem real 1 shot kill type of thing oterwise all pistols take 5 shots to kill an enemy.

ya in a big battle, i go primary, then when out of ammo, pistol, when out of ammo, nades, then knife.

but i use my pistol also when i get 1 sniper shot in the enemy, and then finish him off /w the pistol.

All kidding aside, I usually snipe on Sharqi (I spawn at Construction Site) and pull out my pistol until I get on the crane. I only use my pistol with the other kits when I'm completely out of ammo for my Ak-101...

I don't find myself using the pistol much for Spec Ops except when I don't have time the reload the carbine. Generally, I only use the pistol when I play a class without an accurate long range weapon or ranged CQB weapon (AT/Engineer/Sniper).
The utility of a silenced pistol is very limited IMO; although the suppression effect offers only limited concealment, and 9 times out of 10 you're probably better off mowing your opponent down with superior firepower of a full auto carbine.

As spec ops I'd rather reload my carbine while bunny hopping or use the knife. I use the pistol only when I'm sniper and shot at someone that I could finish with 1 additional pistol bullet.

ACtually I used the silenced pistol a lot more on the night maps in SF, and I didnt even really do it conciously yhte first time. Silenced pistols are good on the ngiht maps, thats how I got expert pistol on a round of Devils Perch.

I find the silenced pistols to be very acurate (little kick-back) and decently powerful to mow people down at close range. I find the regular pistols to be much more useful at longer ranges (50-100m), especially when using engineer or anti-tank.

knife kills are easier than pistol kills, but the pistols are very accurate! If you have hit some guy two times already with your main gun, you might switch to pistol to finish it off.

I used to almost never use the pistols, except when my main gun was empty. Now, it's still about the same, but I find myself relying upon them more with the anti-tank and sniper kits. The AT is because of how long it takes the DAO to reload (I love this gun), and sniper is for those close quarter fights (usually after a rifle shot). Oddly enough, I've faired pretty well against many many players in the machine-gun vs. pistol battles, but against the truly experienced players, I know I just can't take a pistol to a machine-gun fight (but hey, it was a last resort anyways).

I do like the silenced pistols though. I've noticed that a lot of players don't take notice where they're being hit from by the "hit indicator", but by whether they even heard the shot or not. As a result, you'll see them run around in circles, almost like when they're trying to evade a sniper round.

use it only if you're a sniper and you hit a guy with the rifle, but he isnt dead yet. 2-3 pistol shots will kill him. also use it if you have the anti tank kit and you dont have time to reload the rocket.
