i don't have much time as Spec-Ops, but i love their accurate guns, and i love the C4!!

i think it's just that most people don't use Spec-Ops for what they were meant for (stealth and such) so they don't think they're good

just b/c you are at a disadvantage against Assault, Support, and Medic players, doesn't meant that you can't take out all 3 of those at the same time.  You just have to know what to do and how to be sneaky

If you know how to use Spec Ops you're unstoppable...until u run out of ammo :-/.  I've mastered tossing C4 on this patch but it doesnt seem like anyone else feels using it, so it just makes it more fun for me.  And the M4's sight is badass.

You know... I have a question. If you put in all that effort and sneak your way into the enemy base undetected. You see an empty tank.


WHY THE HELL WOULD YOU PLANT C4 ON IT?! Just jack the tank go on a killing spree before some AT boys finally take you down. Why C4 a tank and get... what, maybe 2 kills if you're lucky when you can jack the tank and do so much more damage?

Oh I know how you feel, as a sniper what am I going to do? Throw claymores at it? I hate tanks.

But still if I'm in the enemy base tapping people in the head with my rifle, if I see an empty tank and I'm in a good position to go for it, I'll grab it. Unless you suck w/ the tank or there's like 5 AT guys around you, you're guaranteed a couple of kills right there.

A very good point, that.

Here's another thing: I'm not a spec ops whore by any stretch of the imagination, but I don't get why it's only 1 point for "destroying strategic objects" and not 2, like medics get for a revive. Compare the amount of time and effort involved in getting all the way to the enemy base, planting C4 and blowing it, and running 20m to a flatliner and zapping his ass. The spec ops gets a maximum of 2 points for his work unless a supply crate comes down to repair the assets and give him some more C4, while the Medic gets 2 points, and can use the paddles again and again (even on the same dude!).

Any thoughts?

its 1 point for each asset isnt it?

2 artillary = 2 points

1 UAV = 1 point

1 Scanner = 1 point

it would be good of you could blow them all up but you only have enough c4 for the 2 artys

i agree with J=MAN, i mean, Medics can get 2 points for clicking their button once after travelling like 5 feet.  While Spec-Ops has to travel almost the WHOLE map just to get 2 points, or 4 if he's REAL lucky

2 points, or even 3, for blowing up an asset would be very justified

That's a pretty good idea, it would give more incentive for people to go after assets, and then commanders would have to devote more resources to defending their assets and ish.

the spec ops is kinda in some ways useless in blowing up assets as the commander simply drops a vehicle on enemy assets

FICTION!  In my book at least.

Any spec-ops that destroys the enemy commander's toys is a good friend in my eyes.  A spec-ops who can destroy enemy vehicles that tend to do a lot of damage, especially with drivers in them, is even better.  A spec-ops that can do all the above, and run-n-gun, is definitely one to be greatly appreciated, and welcome on my team any time.

Singularly, no kit in the game should be unappreciated, and that goes for spec-ops as well.

I love spec ops. Every time you kill one, pick up his kit and blow any C4 he left. Chances are they're all sat nicely around one of his flags in case it gets capped.

Lets be honest here, no one plays spec ops because of the reason you have pointed out, there guns suck IMO some people say the G36 is a good gun but dont agree.

True if you have a good spec ops guys blowing up the other teams commander toys constantly it is a help, but as this game is all about stats (dont say it isnt because we all know it is) they dont get amny points for blowing the shit up.

The only good things i have come to rely on the spec ops class for is, jihad jeeps and taking out the bridge on karkand, that my friend is about it.

I actually just played with the spec-op kit and tbh i never relised how much the scar-l sucks my balls, come round a corner to any asshole with and other gun and your gna get shit on, it sucked so bad for the rest of the round i decided to use the pistol.

The G36 is to bad but even that sucks, but at least if you come round a corner with a guy waiting there for you and he is on 1 heath and no ammunition left then you have a fighting chance you can kill him.

I used to love this kit, you could C4 chuck and just own a whole entire team, you could even throw c4 over a fence to take out a tank, now you have to walk up behind it hope for the love of god it doesnt see you then. plant your C4 run away and hope you dont get shot in the back or by another guy.

They have no armour there guns suck, you dont userally get alot of points with it, and the only good thing there for is loading all your C4 onto the front of buggy and going all taliban style on tanks and shit.

And before i get moaned at for this game isnt about stats, well im sorry but 99.999999999% of you have you sig as your stats and ive seen 35478643545645 topics about yayz i got my promotion!!!!!!!111.

So in short, spec ops = only good for taking out armour with a fast moving car.

well i have two answers for your question.

1) read the label of spec ops in the game " Elite soldier specialized in stealth and sabotage"  If you dont know what the word sabotage means, well pick up a dictionary

2) People steal the other teams tanks and apc. 99.99% of the time, they use it main base rape. It happens all the time. ANd some servers like NAEA. TCC, LS will kick/ ban you for it.

Yeah I like playing Spec Ops. The G36C rocks, and c4 is useful. I think you should get 2 points for blowing an asset though, as usually you only get to do 2 before you run out of c4. It would be more of an incentive.

Spec Ops is my favourite kit! Just trying to get 40 kills in a round to get my Gold.
I like the fact you can deal with everything! Nades and carbine for troops, C4 for vehicles its great!

Ps. I prefer Scar-L for the laser sight.
