Now what?
you should really use a joystick (comeon they are really cheap now), because some of these manovers are near impossible to pull off with a mouse
1. always look back and flare while barrel rolling, then drop to low altitude. Also you can sometimes outrun them (like if you are at high altitude and fly with afterburner in an F-35 straight down)
if that doesnt help (or will help, use common sense)
2. if you are in a f-35 or f-18 pull into a continiuous looping (you have a faster turn rate than the missles), for the other planes this sort of works.
when you are pointing straigt up, flare, so that on your next round it covers you.
3. if you fly near ground level (max 6m or so) while pulling your loop the missiles will somethimes crash into the ground. same goes for the large stuctures of the carrier. best is to fly full trottle with afterburner towards the middle compartment (towards the radar thingy), then quickly drop to sea levels. once you pass the structure, fly continuous turns around the carrier at super low altitude (5 m or below, you should be making a wake). also geting trees and similar between you and the missile breaks the lock.
4. try to get another vehicle to drop flares. best is a high flying enemy heli because you can fly under the flares and use them again on your next round. (if you play on the older patches dumbfireing a missile towards a friendly plane/heli will sometimes cause the missile to lock on causing them to flare. TK danger though). flying near burning oil towers like on zatar, ghost town, the big EF map (forgot its name), etc. will cause the missile to follow it instead (but you have to fly really close and then quickly change direction)
5. if you are being atacked by an enemy plane try to get close to friendly (and enemy in 1.03 cause the missiles always track the closest plane) AA/fighter. fireing a couple of mg rounds helps to get their attention. Also "stunts" like flying under bridges or through tunnels can help to shake the enemy jet, but only if they seem unpredictable for the enemy. also if you are in the middle of the map: fly up until you loose control. that sould break the lock and hinder the enemy to fire at you (especially if they follow you).
6. if you are attacked by stationary AA or AA vehicles, try to fly your loops in such a fashion that you gain space quick so that they cannot fire a second time, then turn and finish them off
7. if you time it right you can jump out (the missiles loose lock on an empty plane) and then get in again (yeah, pretty hard to pull off)
8. once you loose lock get the hell out of there
other things: try to fly in such a fashion that you dont get locked on. know all the positions of the stationary AA and try to avoid places where mobile AA is often. fly very high (250m at least) and only drop down for a short time for your bombing runs. Also never start a fight you cant win like anything against a j-10, you in an F-35 against anything, having no bombs against mobile AA, ..... Also raping enemy airfields can keep the skys firendly
also i suggest you try practice low flying. best practice run is in my oppinon on wake to fly along the road below tree level at full speed without crashing.
always keep your heath checked. i always try to mg a jet down (most of the time the people dont notice until its too late) before i switch to Air to air mode
i.e.: fly diffficult to follow manouvers, flare often and you should never be shot down
