Yup, that sums it up nicely... If this gun would be implemented correctly in the game, you would end up with a UT2004 one shot one kill match... Fun for 5 minutes but not for several 100 hours...

that weapon, if I am not mistaken is actually meant for anti-tank tactics. they have been developing a 50 cal round that has a head that rotates free of the jacket, and is controlled by a computer, making it a laser guided bullet, fuel tanks and ammo reserves on a tank are NOT safe

the M95 is a .50 cal. sniper to its even the jonger sister of the M82A2
Both the M95 and the M82A1 are .50 caliber sniper rifles designed for both anti-personnel and anti-material uses. A 50 caliber BMG will penetrate quite a bit. However, there core difference between the M95 and the M82 is that the M95 is a bolt-action rifle. This has been said before on another thread I believe. The reason that the game designers did not give the M95 its true capabilities, as Robin Hood put it, was for balance.
I think they should have given people a different unlock for sniper and made the M95 an ultimate unlock. You might get it at somewhere between 300,000-500,000 points and it would have all of its power.

I don't mind that it doesn't have true .50 cal power. But what I would have liked to see, since it is an upgrade, is one-shot kills on people, no matter when you hit them and I would have liked it to be an M82, meaning semi-auto. Would also like to see if take out a pilot or driver through the windshield. Blowing a tank or other vehicle in one shot, no, I don't need that, but, give a bit of an advantage over the M24.
