I play as a sniper and I NEVER spawn with a ghillie suit, I always run around with a huge rifle and look like an assaulter and broadcast my presence due to lack of camouflage. It doesn't matter if I play as USMC, MEC or other, I NEVER get a ghillie suit!

Do I have to enable a setting somewhere or do I have to login to a profile and enable it like you do on jointops?

ANY help would be appreciated.

Thanks

I've only seen snipers without ghillie suits in Special Forces.
All BF2 vanilla snipers wear ghillie suits as far as I know.

Do you have any screens or something?

One, how do you know since you only have a first-person view?

And two, with the exception of one or two areas on certain maps the ghillie suit doesn't make you hard to see anyway, particularly at range by another sniper, so don't sweat it

Fair point:

1). Certain death animations are shown in a 3rd person view and you can see from that angle (hence why its difficult to provide screen grabs).

2). Not really sweating it, but the ghillie does help in dark areas on urban maps so im just keen to have a level playing field.

thanks anyway though

Ghillie disappears when you die, so your corpse isn't "ghillied".

edit: Goes for any kit, your corpse looks always same even if your kit haves armor/ghillie/bags/etc.
And by corpse i mean: "You have been killed", not "You have been critically wounded".

edit2: Your "kit outfit" might disappear when your kit bag appears on ground, so you wont have ghillied assault or something similar (someone takes your kit, medic revives you, and you get nearest bag), not sure tough. But still body armors seem to transfer from kit to another, anyone with accurate information about this???

Ettercrab is right.

Your best best is to go into the top position of a vehicle and look at yourself in the 3rd person.

Roger. It's probably as Ettercrab says, that the corpse reverts to a generic uniform.

NP. Should point out though that for a lot of people there are no dark areas on urban maps... with dynamic shadows turned off the game looks a bit crap but boy do people have a hard time hiding from you!
