i'm making strawberry shortcake, gonna split it in half (layers wise, not across) while it's hot, butter up the top AND the bottom, slop a bunch of strawberries on the bottom layer, put the top back on, and cover it in whip cream and blueberries, all patriotic for the 4th of july!!
