U want to test 1.4 but dont want to quit playing 1.3? OK since im in the mood to type and I'm seeing many posts about it ill say what i did and it works [im playing 1.12 and 1.4]
I Copy the BF2 Folder paste it somewhere else. Rename it to e.c BF2v1.3 and then I go in that folder and rename the BF2.exe file to something random like i added a V to the end and another file called bf2_w32ded.exe I added a v ther too but im not sure it has any affects. Now BE sure u have 1 BF2 Folder and that BF2v1.3 folder OK? Now install the patch [1.4] and It will be installed in the BF2 folder.
Now when that is done run the BF2.exe folder in the BF2 folder and see if it goes to v 1.4 server [currently 2 ranked up] If that works u need to go the the BF2v1.3 [whatever u named it] folder and [donno if this is needed]
remove the V letter from the .exe files u changed. Now lunch that BF2.exe and see if it runs to 1.3
If it does thank me and then play the version u want.
NOTE: The Mods files bf2 are NOT what im talking about im talking about the WHOLE Folder.
