Wow.
FF off is a pilots playground. Hence, it's really only fun for the pilots.
Play on a server with FF OFF, and aircraft heavy, and all you see is indiscriminate bombing and missile spamming. That's not even including the free rein of the commanders, and their artillery strikes.
The concept of FF is good, but it also has it's bad points. Personally, I like FF ON. It takes a bit more skill and presents a higher challenge.

Commanders have had free reign on arty since they made it so they don't get negative points for arty tk's... I want that back.
Hell no. I can't tell you how many times some douches on my team decided the flashing artillery signal meant that I was going to drop prizes in that area or something...HeimdalX wrote:

I agree with dontfeedthenerd. There's little point in punishing the commander for his team's lack of attentiveness. In fact, every TK he gets with artillery hurts him anyways. One, chances are he was arty'ing the area for a reason, and any teammates in the area are a possible deterent to whatever he was aiming for. Two, every death on his team means less points for him at the end of the match.dontfeedthenerd wrote:

Before that "fix", I saw many commanders being kicked or punished a lot, and because of it, not many players found the position worth playing because of it.
yer i remember everyone used to fight over being the commander and when commander droped arty everyone would rush at it an instent punish every arty strike we had a dif commander because previous 1s got banned
We have FF off on our server purely for the fact that we dont get tk arguments with people.
(and because we like using c4 alot!! and grenades....)

Hhehe, Our Wake has FF OFF.... Not only has it helped us but it has helped the pilots also, now people are trying new ways to tk the pilots, some of them ram Hummers into the jet, some of them lay down on the runway and push them halfway to North Village, eh..whats -4 pts when you can rape the carrier and get +20. and while all the flyboys are waiting for 24 minutes for a plane, they can have some C4 Fun with the other 31 people waiting in line.
I agree on certain maps, but flymaps its almost mandatory. On Mashtuur, Karkand, any SF map, and Sharqi, FF should be on in my opinion or you will get spamming, but who doesn't do that anyway???FF off on servers is retarded and for noobs. You can just nade spam and stuff.

Ever been in a tank and had a thousand dumb fuck noobs ram you with their 1337 Humvees that are loaded with teammates, not because they intentionally wanted to get you 5 TKs but simply because they couldn't drive.Viper007Bond wrote:

Ever had a noob who just wouldn't stop throwing gernades at the blue names?
Or how about those trigger happy noobs who will just start shooting randomly when they turn the corner, killing friend or injuring foe.
What about those noobs who are SO desprate for a kill that they will do anything and everything to cockblock you and get you a TK or TK you trying to steal the kill.
How about those support noobs who just DON'T stop shooting... No matter what... EVER... EVER.
Or did you think of those noobs who like to drive 50mph through large crouds of friendly troops?
Did I miss any?
elaborate more on the runway fodderBabySpinach13 wrote:

He didn't say nothin' about runway fodders
There's a bug which does that in normal servers. Why, just yesterday, I got blown up by C4. But instead of being blown to bits, I flew 20m into a wall, where I was 'no more'.
The paradox is only a conflict between reality and your feeling what reality ought to be.

TK punish exists for a reason.BabySpinach13 wrote:

Yep, had all those happen to me.BabySpinach13 wrote:

However, I still like FF ON, just for the sheer fact that all those things don't nearly happen as often as being shot at by an enemy troop, but you just know that you're gonna be the victor, and his pilot buddy drops six bombs on my head. Not only did you not get the kill, but you also earned a death for your trouble, and the other guy got a kill assist.
Then on the flip side, I've been in many a fight, watched a friendly plane come in and drop bombs all around me, get my kills, all the while I'm thinking, "geez, I'm glad friendly fire was off."
I don't entirely agree that it's only for "noobs", but I do think it makes people become more aware of what they are doing, and lessens the chance that I'm gonna have every death earned from a plane or arty.
As Viper007Bond said:
Quite honestly, I've had more people forgive an accidental TK, than punish. I've also rarely punished someone for an accidental TK, and usually it happens to the pilot teammate who carelessly drops his second set of bombs on my head (I always forgive the first, accidents happen). However, even then I can be lenient towards second TKs that are within reason.Viper007Bond wrote:

EDIT: Screwed up quote coding.

At least one of the above things happens to me EVERY SINGLE ROUND. It's the new wave of summer noobs.TrueArchon wrote:
