I getting real tired of searching for servers where it's possible to play with some kind of balanced teams. When you join a server where there's a few places available you naturally ends up on the loosing team. That might be acceptable probably because somebody got tired of being owned and left. Well that's life. Then the following round you might notice how your team can't hold a single flag, and by looking at the squads you see the only ones there are yours (that you created because there were no squads) and another one where the squad leader is flying around in an airplane/helicopter. Ok, you're on the succy team, congrats! Next round you loose all flags in 3minutes and is sitting thinking "wtf?! I just capped that flag back there". Then you hit tab again and look at the other team and see that the other team holds all the >2nd Lt ranks. Just as they have on purpose moved to that team to be gods.

Now where does these stupid gameplay rules come from:
* Don't join a squad
* Go up on roofs and camp with AT/sniper
* If you rank is above 2nd Lt, join the team where all the other high ranked players are if possible
* Sit in an APC when commander and try to drop cars at enemy tanks instead of giving them to the team
* Don't recap vital flags, let the other team have them because they'll just take them back or even kill you

I like to play about 1-2hour each day so the fun is pretty much not there when you end up on servers with players playing by these rules. Most of the time goes to finding another server and waiting for map load times. When I finally find a server where it's at least possible to win, and where you get some kind of teamwork I feel like I have to play for several hours there just to compensate for all the crappy servers

Lately I've noticed a great increase of the lack of teamplay. Not even on the servers I have in the favorites. Schools out for the summer?

("And this one time at band camp", there was a Major on the loosing team as me and he typed "what a noob team!" into the chat when we were getting pwned badly. And then he started team killing everyone. Now that's the spirit...)

Edit: spelling, my bad

Because servers are balanced by player count, not by skill or rank, which is the least they could have done

I've changed the message 'you've been moved to the other team' to 'you've been moved to the losing team', it seems to be more truthful

well main reason is coz like all ppl who are friends get on the same side, same goes for clan members... when u got 20 clannies working together the other team has no chance

Agreed, but it's not easy for a computer to measure skill, and why should it be the guys with the high ranks/high score who allways get put on the loosing team?

But I know what you mean.

It would be much easier to attribute everyone with a certain rank a number (eg Private = 1 and so on) then to balance teams by that rating.  It'd make for some interesting games I'm sure, 3 2nd Lt's against 20 privates is surely like playing against bots

The problem is of course that not everyone is equal, some privates as better than sergeants and some sergeants are worse than a lot of corporals.  But it's certainly a start, and it'd make for some fairer matches.

Another way would be to base it on scores from the previous round. Balance the teams by distributing the high scoring players from the previous round evenly across both teams.

That would give pretty equal rounds I think. Feels great to win with 2-0 or something. 231-0 is just pwning. Even though that can be fun to..

A rank balanced system, while not perfect, will beat "alright just take that bloke and stick him on the other team then they'll have the same amount of players

I can't remember the last time I haven't seen stacked teams...

It really does chaff my nuggets when there's an entire team of clannies on one side against the general public on the other.

"What's to stop them from making an entire platoon of 47's! A whole army of 47's!"

I really wish they'd show some courtesy and balance it out... As fun as 6 minute rounds can be, I'd still take relatively balanced teams any day.

I rather enjoy that actually.  I watch them all charge a flag, capture it, and then leave right away.  I just move in and get a flag capture.

Yeah, but is really fun/funny when the clannies by a random group of the public player.  I have had some good rounds killing a clan team with the snipper rifle.

wtf?! no. I made this post a month or so ago complaining about people like you who do nothing but complain on my clan's server than we team stack. No, we all play on the same team and together so we don't have to put up with the noobs, and more importantly, we embellish the teamwork part of it. From what I remember the feedback I got in my thread was positive with most people agreeing that it's not unfair, rather what the teamwork part of the game is all about.

I was on the wining side of Ghost Town 64 last night(for a change) and we took the round with over 300 tickets.  Not a lot of clan members, just good players vs bad ones.  I try to avoid servers with more than 3 clan members on one side.  Always tips the scales of the game.

There is a difference between a clan stacking the teams on their own server, which people should expect, and a clan joining someone else's lightly populated server and stacking up.  That's just lame.  I always wonder why they don't try to have a little bit of a challenge instead of just mowing down a bunch of guys that don't know each other.  That's a huge accomplishment, really, neat job.  I've been on both sides, and the afore mentioned six minute rounds really aren't any fun even if you are on the side that wins.  Especially after it happens about twice and then all the non clan guys leave, followed shortly by the whole clan, leaving an empty server.  Clans are like locusts sometimes.  Why not put about half on one side and have a real battle?  If you want to play together lock your squads.  I always wonder about this too when guys pop up on these forums begging people to come play on their server.  Why, so you can thump us?  Neat, sign me up.

I'm all for playing together with friends and using teamwork.  And I play hard all the time and try to win.  But I'm not all about just thumping some hapless team just to do it.  I'd rather join the noob team and try to rally them than just crush them.  But that's probably a minority opinion.
