Veteran Sniper Combat Badge

How can I get that badge?
I have already Basic Sniper Combat Badge + 15 hours played as a Sniper.
I went to play BF2 few hours ago to my favourite ranked server, I chose Sniper.
When the round ended, I had 17 kills (thats two more than required for the Veteran Sniper Combat Badge), and I played all the time with Sniper. But I didn't get the badge. Whats wrong?

Alot of this has been happening lately dude, I feel like I shoulda gotten my Aerial Service 4 or 5 times over by now, but no dice (no pun intended). All I can really say is search through the older posts see if theres any info on what might be going on, or try again after 1.4 comes out.

As mentioned sometimes this happens.

I know for sure I got it on my 16th kill and not my 15th kill when I got veteran sniper combat the first time. You have to watch out for this: say you die and you get a kill from one of your claymores that you placed the previous life, instead of this kill message

(not always, depends on how long has passed). If that does happen those apparently aren't recognised as sniper kills.

What map were you playing by the way?

I'm playing Karkand 24/7.
I tried again and now I got the badge when I reached 15 kills IAR.
Weird...

I think Todd hit the nail on the head with the explanation there - well it made perfect sense to me. And a long way to explain why it usually takes two or three rounds to get a vet badge - is the situation worse for expert?

Yes and no, my Basic and veteran explosives were all gained in one round. However it took three rounds and thrice as many kills to get expert explosives.

There is an easy way to be sure and get it, aquire double the points needed & then some after that, I was at 124 kills with just the claymores when the expert explosives ordinance badge poped up & its only 30 IAR...

try 64 player servers with 32 or less people to give yourself more time.

Did you read posts #2 and #3?? Sometimes it happens.

If you're lucky it's just a delay with the stats being sent to, or registering with, the stats server but you may have to get it again.

I don't see why so many people have a problem with this. I should have had my veteran engineer badge yesterday but I didn't get it, I don't really care because I can do it again easily. If you did deserve the badge, you could easily do it again and you shouldn't worry about it. It's not like you're going to die because you don't have one of the easiest badges yet...

Slap yourself, 15 kills with sniper rifle is easy enough as it is.

40 kills with sniper rifle is not hard either, I don't understand why that requirement is lower than others.

Killing as AT is much harder, and Engineer.
