Points for taking the time to point out an enemy that's not already on the radar.  Perhaps you get a point if it dies while still on the radar.  At least a badge, much like you get a badge for using your zipline too much.

Hmm I think the getting a point idea if you spot an enemy and he/she dies while still on the radar is good, but I don't like the badge idea. There is no point and shows no skill as it will too easy to unlock

ONLY if the enemy dies while still on radar, because commander would obviously exploit it to get a shit load of points if they got a point simply for pointing out the enemy.

You know, I would've thought that the "if they die while spotted" thing was a good idea...but you're right...the fucking SPAMMING that would go on.  I mean, it's already pretty obnoxious.  If people got points for it...it's flood the damn radio...ugh...I'm terrified just thinking about it.

Good idea, but would be abused like everything else in BF2.

Some idiot would just hide in the enemy uncap, not kill anything, not do anything, just go:

"Enemy infantry spotted"
"Enemy infantry spotted"
"Enemy boat spotted"
"Enemy AA-vehicle spotted"
"Enemy infantry spotted"
"Snipers on our perimeter"
"Hostile slick inbound, over"
"We've got company overhead, over"
"Sniper"
"Enemy infantry spotted"
"Enemy plane-camper spotted"
"Enemy M95-tker spotted"
"Enemy dumbass spotted...shit that's me"

While the rest of the team tells him to shut up. Or leaves. Or both.

Radio's spammed enough as it is already.  I've even met morons that spam a boat's on Karkand.  I figure why not have something good come out of it?  (At least the true ones)

Please stop giving Ea idea's, because they listen to every freakin idea and pick the stupidist one, they add it to the new patch and dont fix the crap that needed to be fixed, introducing new and obnoxious behaviour from the battlefield 2 players worldwide.

But seriously, i like the idea of getting a badge for it, but i dont like the idea of getting a point for it.  I didnt know that i was one of the few who spotted people frequently especially tanks.

When i was a noob i killed people on my team because of the red-tag bug, but now that i learned how to play i kill people that have the red tag bug because i see them showing up on my map as enemy...

Thanks

Recon in fact is an elite skill so we just need to figure out how to translate it into the game. First I think Lone Wolves should not be allowed to use it.

I like the idea because it promotes teamwork skills. Instead of wasting bullets everyone will be spotting targets on their way to wherever.

If you had the spot and kill point how could it be exploited? that will be the key to the idea dying. Lets say you get a couple guys ina transport helo to do aerial recon, they could rack up points but it would be dangerous and would help the team...could be padded in mashtuur though, not much to shoot down helos there.

What if it only counts if the commander marks a a recon objective.

And to the guy who pointed out the spamming will be intolerable yes true - how can we fix that? How about a separate text area for chat and a different area for spotreps and battle damage?

This game can slowly turn into an MMORPG complete with customizable interface.
