Next time someone asks you for a lift....if you can't...a quick 'No Sir' will help the person left to walk half a mile realise that you are aware of his plight, but you can't oblige....maybe your're full.

Heck...if you go to the trouble of typing 'full', well 5 gold stars to you

I love it when you take the cobra off the carrier with a gunner and come back after a good run and some damage, only to have 2-3 ppl run over to you and start spamming "I need a ride" when if you look at the chopper you can see a "+1" next to the driver's name. Some people are just stupid I guess...

I also love it when you get in pilot on a BH and keep yelling get in. A few ppl spawn and get in then after you take off and get about 50 ft the jackass blue dot that was running around the carrier like he didn't know where to go is spamming pick me up! That's a "No Sir" right there. Too bad there isn't a "No, Sir. You should have gotten in 30 seconds ago, moron."

Of course there are those people out there that jam the vehicle into gear regardless if people need a pick up or not and leave. Even if you ask for it and the vehicle isn't even close to full they hit "No Sir" and leave anyways. Some people just can't stand having passengers. I guess it's all the backseat driving they do.

As for the Transport Heli, if I take off and there is someone right there that needs a pick up I'll land real quick, if on a carrier and I only have one passenger or two then I'll do a quick turn around and pick them up no sweat. But if I'm full or close to it, yea then I'll just keep going. Pressing "No Sir" is a nice touch though.

I still want a damn vehicle passenger VOIP channel damnit!

Our brand new fleet of BH choppers is progressively being upgraded to bring you life entertainment and communications in-seat. Watch this space. If you have Frequent Flyer Whore miles, you may redeem it for the best seat in the AH-1Z, our latest addition. Seats are very limited on those choppers.

couldnt resist, sorry..

i played with a clan player once, and i truly appreciate him as an SL. I got killed while manning the chaingun on the BH, and I forgot to spawn on him, but ended spawning on the base instead. He flew all the way back from the other extreme end of the map to pick me up. can you beat that? One of those enjoyable moments of teamplay.

But most times, "hey i need a ride" fell on deaf ears. I make it a point to pick everyone up, whether they ask for it or if i see them running towards my vehicle.

ROFL!  Ok Mike that was simply classic. Funny stuff.

Edit: Must add that it's funny that I get on my Helicopter kick only after everyone has abandoned the Transport Helis because they can't use it for uberfast Flag Captures anymore and have to use it for what it was intended. See I find the true use of it to be fun. I am on some kind of Taxi Service, Gunship Mode kick or something.

That will be a proper use of equipment. Interdiction or gunship support, I had always seen that as the purpose of the BH in BF2. I'd love to be the gunner, but "hey I need a ride" never seem to work I was tempted to fire at the chopper to get their attention.

I need flight school time on singleplayer..missing the badges for aviation.

Here is something I hate, yesterday, I was playing Wake Island as USMC. I get in the pilot seat of the Cobra, and some guy wanted to fly, and I told him to gun. He replyed with a "No, Sir!" and started putting C4's all over my chopper. However, as soon as I took off, he started yelling, "Hey! I need a ride!" So I fly all the way back to the carrier, and act like I'm going to give him a ride. I waited for him so give me the "Thanks Champ!" As soon as he did, I blew him into the ocean with 14 missles.

Even better is when the gunner actually moves the gun around and shoots, and everyone still apparently thinks that seat is empty. Or maybe they just think that in their l337ness it is their right of way be in the gunner seat, even if there is already a gunner.

This thread has a brilliant title - perhaps the best title known to this forum.  Ever.

*Taps feet . . . whistles . . . *

Why do you build me up (build me up) Buttercup, baby
Just to let me down (let me down) and mess me around
And then worst of all (worst of all) you never call, baby
When you say you will (say you will) but I love you still
I need you (I need you) more than anyone, darlin'
You know that I have from the start
So build me up (build me up) Buttercup, don't break my heart . . .

*Notices they're laughing*

But it's a classic!!
