I want to start up my own unranked server, but I really can't get it to work. At the moment I am using the BF2Serverlauncher that I dowloaded from EA:s homepage, should I use this or is it another program that I can use?

I am also sitting behind a router, will this be a problem?

Where I am supposed to write the IP should I enter the IP to the router or the IP that the router is connecting to the internet with?

And what IP am I supposed to connect with using BF2CC?

However, for ease of use:

1) if you want people to actually JOIN your server, you need to be able to give them your EXTERNAL IP, ie the IP you surf the net with.
2) if you want people to actually JOIN your server, you ALSO need to ensure that you've opened up the right ports in your router. if you want to support voip, this port ALSO needs to be opened.
3) BF2CC doesn't care about which IP you use, unless ofcourse you want to run it externally.
4) Whatever "support" software you want to use to launch the server doesn't really matter, if you want the dedicated server launcher, then use it, if not, then dont. In either case this will not affect your setup.

If your behind a router you need to setup port fowarding for bf2. When you setup the server ip you also should be using the ip assigned by your router. The port fowarding should take care of the rest when they connect to your ip address. It will take a couple of mins for your server to come up on the server list.

one other thing is that you should have your firewalls turned off according to EA and gamespy.

Ok, I have got the server to work, but only on my main computer. On the secondary computer where I want to have the computer it won't work. The server will startup fine and I can play on it but my friend can't join. I have tried to use different ports and I have Port forwared those ports but it won't work.

Someone knows why it is like this?
