I've done some searching and could not find a straight answer, so I'll go ahead and ask it.
What is the highest rank you can get in BF2? I see that "General" is the last listed rank on BF2s UBAR and says you have to have 200,000 points, but it says that it's the "Highest rank of the month." Lieutenant General is right below General with the same amount of needed points, but you need 1440 hours of game play. Then, way in the middle of the list lies "Sergeant Major of the Corps" which the description says "This rank is only awarded to one player at a time." Is Sergeant Major of the Corps awarded to a random player. How often does Dice/EA give out the rank to a player? Do you have to be a certain rank/have a certain number of points to get awarded the rank? I've been playing since the game came out, but never got real into it until recently and I want to get to the bottom of this ranking thing. Also, when I look at rankings, I hardly ever see any players with a 1-4 Star ranking, which I believe is the highest 4 ranks you can achieve. Does that mean that no one currently any form of a General? Thanks.

I see that Phantom0701 is a General, but with 408,444 points and -=RD=-Volx is #1 with 478,285 points and he is only a Colonel. Why wouldn't Phantom be #1 since he is a General, but he's got less points than the leader who is a Colonel.
