I think it would be cool if the Unlocks were tied to the combat badges. Then some of the other badges like the explosives ordinace could unlock gear like the graple or Zip line and the supply badge to get the tear gas in SF. A Pistol Unlock would be cool.

dunno why ud miss playing till 15k points for a single unlock. How Fun. must really spur on newbs knowing they wont get anything till next year. Oh and yeah i played all the time before anyone says 'well u didnt play back in 1.0x'

When 1.03 came out, I was like ZOMG CUMING IN ZE PANTS, now I realize they made it wayyyyyyy to easy. I was at like 8600 pts and real hype for upcoming promotion to Corpral in like 2000 points. Then i get bumped to Gunney, and unlock all these guns, i WAS happy. Now I remember when I hand no unlocks (lol) and I was sooo looking foward to the G3, when ever I got killed by one, I was like 'damn, lol that should be mine.' Now I have nothing left to look foward too, i have all unlocks. If it were 1.02 again I would be a staff sarg i think. It would rock.

Dont youmean 30k? This is no 20k gap inunlocks.. the 50k tier is very difficult for most people to get to. I consider myself a litttle better than average and an mow a round away from Sargent Major.... Its taken me over 500 hours to get here.... But, for the constant players, they are extremely easy to obtain.
It just depends on what lvl your playing at...rarely, moderatly, or extreme.

It was easy until they added the officer tier of ranks. Once you get to Sergeant Major, you really have nothing to look forward to except work.
You shouldn't get unlocks so soon, first unlock(s) should be at staff/gunnery sergeant.

I'm not asking for any changes though, we've all seen where asking DICE for changes has gotten us. They need to STOP "improving" the game and simply fix the growing bug list. With a new game coming out on the same BF2 platform their reputation and sales are dependant on this (or are they?). Instead, they will likely spend the whole beta phase tweaking the infantry mode, nerfing some more stuff, and glossing over a few more bugs as "not important". It's really too bad the media rarely mentions bugs when speaking of BF2. If every article written about BF2 were to include a short paragraph mentioning EA/Dice's dismal efforts at fixing well known and longstanding bugs, perhaps they would actually DO something about the bugs. Instead, the media rarely touches the word bug and EA/DICE are more confident in just allowing them to persist.
