BF2S Forums unlocks in SP

hit me with it, like i said, i'm running singleplayer only and i set it up so all my changed s/p content [bots, maps etc] is a mod that i load up.
so...

You CANT unlock the weapons in SP. Not yet anyways... The new patch MIGHT include this option.
Meanwhile what you CAN do is edit the "objects_client.zip" (in BF2/MODS directory) file which contains information about what weapons the soldiers have. you can EITHER change the default weapon to an unlocked one, OR you can add in additional weapons for the reaming keys (ie, give the AT the P90 on button "5").
The files you need to edit are the ones that are in the "kits" directory in the ZIP file (ie kits/MEC/MEC_AT.con). It's a hassle, but it will work. Just keep in mind you CANNOT play multiplayer if you change this. So make a backup. Also, the files ARE AND NEED TO BE "readonly" in order for your game to start correctly. So set the readonly bit again after edit.

And NO... You wont get banned for doing this in SP... You WILL however get banned for doing this in MP. Oh... And if you want to "share" this mod with someone, remember to disable punkbuster on your LAN server (dont even TRY to play with the original files modded on the net, you need to create a new mod for that).
