- How often do you get rude people on voip?
I have never had a guy swear in voip but in ventrillo People don't shut up lol But I did get a maybe 7-8 year old who called me sir and said he doesn't like to kill people but to fly around in a blackhawk it was funny as hell and his name was greySquirrel mines mastersquirrel LOL
Only had it happen to me once, only a few days ago playing Mashtuur. Not really that rude really but out of the blue it had more impact than it would have otherwise; apparently as commander I was a "complete arsehole" and told to "spot something FFS". Very good English I must say, as is quite common among the Dutch.
Near as I can make out the guy was ticked about my suckage due to not dropping him supplies when he asked for them for his precious tank and then compounded my error by not spotting nearby enemies so he got rocketed or C4ed. So I informed him that I would have dropped him supplies had any been available but unfortunately, due to the complete lack of engineers on any squad (and no lone wolves with the least inclination to repair any of our assets) I was forced to use the supply drops for repairing the UAV... for about the third time that round... just before he asked; and call me crazy but I feel the UAV is of slightly more use to the team as a whole than a single tank. So, TS Gamert dude, I know it was your server and all but situations often don't go as we'd like in a game and it was a full 64-player game, with a lot going on in multiple locations as there was no clear front and the enemy weren't useless.
I also thought he had a bit of a cheek seeing as we were comfortably in the lead

I'm pretty much never rude on VOIP unless someone on my team punishes for an accidental TK (which is super rare) so it's almost never. I did have some cocky jerk of a colonel talking trash to me a couple nights ago. I was commander and had placed arty at Suburbs on Karkand and he goes walking into it. I said calmly, "Watch out, Gunner" because I saw him moving toward the arty. He didn't stop and he died. He spent the rest of the game calling me "retard" and being obnoxious. This is the douche that ruined that particular game. But otherwise, people always seem to be much nicer on VOIP than in their text.
I honestly don't know. Half the time i can't hear what they are saying due to all that arty/grenade/apc/jet stuff going on. If i can hear what they are saying most of the time it's in german/french/spanish/italian, which i don't understand.

I once asked the squad leader to relinquish his position, because he was flying a single seat J10 on Wake. He didn't seem very happy with the request, even though I said "please." He did give it up, though, to his credit.

When people go for a sunday drive in a tank when the teams getting slaughtered on ghost town would be one example, he was on my team but not talking, after getting infront of his tank & scolding him for not bringing the tank up, he finally got the idea that he should be fighting.

I talk shit with my boys on vent but that's just messin' around. In squad voip, people who actually use mics are so rare that i'm always a nice guy. I'll swear, but not usually at someone. If they make a mistake, I'll point it out. If I make a mistake, I hope they point it out. I do, of course, make one exception, when someone punished me for some dumbshit mistake they make, like running in front of my speeding FAV, I'll check the squad screen, and if possible, i'll join their squad and confront them. It's the last thing assholes expect.
