Now kill assists are team points (just incase you didn't know that). You play the kit sniper and shoot them once below the head and then somebody else will kill them and you get the kill assistss.

Hope this help you that are trying to get team points. I think it is one good way to get them.

Kill assist arent really worth the trouble. Its better to get the kill your self but if you want them use a low powered sniper rifle on a capture point your team is attacking. Knock your self out.

Well, as soon as a sniper gets me down to 2 bars, 2 out of 3 times I will successfully find a medic to heal me ... so no team point for you.

In the quest for team points, I think all these methods will yield more team points:

1.  Cap flag
2.  Fly chopper with a good gunner
3.  Ride in an APC with a good driver
4.  Mount the gun in a tank with a good tanker
5.  Revive (Medic)
6.  Repair (Eng)
7.  Blow up commander assets (SO)
8.  Defend flag (clays or mines)
9.  Heal (Medic)
10.  Give Ammo (Support)

So, I don't put your approach even in the top 10

Medic is the best for Team Points at the end of the day. +2 for Revives and +1 for Heals; although I think it should be the other way around, but that's just me.

Yes, JohnTx12, kill assists are team points ... but my point is that it is not "helpful" advice because this approach to getting team points is really ineffective.

(Frankly, a kill assist is a failure to finish off a guy ... I hate kill assists).

no 800 points less .. 2 pnts = kill 1 pnt = assist

It's fine to be helpful and all, but you need to appreciate the logic of the responses.  Look at OrangeHounds list.  Everything on there is a better way of getting teampoints than intentionally wounding people instead of killing them.

Kill assists are nice bonuses, but they shouldn't ever be an aim.  (and if for some reason you want them, you're probably better off using an RPK or SAW to provide some suppressing fire.  Saturate an area with bullets and you're bound to wound people.)

If someone wants teampoints rather than combat points, then they should be Medic'ing for heals and revives, Support'ing for resupply, or best of all they should be flying in a helo with a good gunner.  For other kits, assaulting flags is always a good idea.  Completely switching an enemy flag to a friendly is worth four points to the first man there.

Kill assists usually happen when snipers are around, other people shoot but a sniper is there for the bait and final kill, and then brag that they are the best that ever played the game.

Many times Ive endured this as to only get an assist after I shot the dude twice, Im thinking one more shot and he was mine as I want to kill the sniper 500 yards away because I was dont there being a grunt doing the dirty work.

if i have 1600 kill assits if they where kills i sould have 3200 points so 3200-1600=1600 poits less

Doing this is a good general tactic as a sniper if you can't reliably get headshots, for whatever reason. I'm not good at headshots so I tend not to try for them as I don't want to actually miss (I'm deliberately working toward high accuracy).

Don't let this stop you from trying to seal the deal though, you'll get many chances to finish a target off with a quick pistol shot or two. And you'd be surprised how often you'll get the opportunity for a second sniper bullet to kill 'em, despite how long the reload is; other snipers in particular tend to be a little too rooted to one spot (their favourite rooftop/crane or whatever) and if you have a sniper who's now embedded in enemy territory he doesn't have much option... what's he going to do, parachute off in the middle of a dozen enemy? Typically they'll try to shimmy to a harder-to-hit spot and you may have to shift position to get your second chance.
