I returned from vacation and found my brand new Viewsonic VX2025WM waiting for me. I plugged it in, went to fire my PC and... nothing.
So, I figured it was my power supply. (Antec True Power 450W) I bought a OCZ Powerstream 600W from Tigerdirect for $89.99 after MIR. Put that in and everything works fine. EXCEPT - Battlefield 2.
Anyways, I've been having trouble getting in and playing. One of three things happens.
a) It lags hardcore when entering a server, however 5 mins later it seems fine.
b) It goes to the map splash screen but doesn't show the gun selection but goes back to the server list with a popup - "Connection to Server Lost"
c) It seems okay, little lag then all of a suden it crashes to my desktop.
Anyways, here's my stats if this helps.
AMD 64 3800+
OCZ EL Gold 2x512
eVGA 6800GS
60GB HD for Windows
250 GB Hd for games, music, videos
Audigy 2
My desktop resolution is 1680x1050, only background programs i had running were AIM and Xfire.
BF2 settings are 800x600 medium high or 1024x768 medium
I'm going to try a reformat / reinstall because I'm having issues with my digital camera as well. We'll see if that helps. No video drivers or anything were changed. This was on BF2 1.3 and I've tried multiple servers.
Thanks for any help.
