I have like 993 RAM (1024) Would disabling PF help a lot? (The only thing I have running in my taskbar etc is CCC, network, sound icon, and some windows warning) and windows usually takes up (200 mb O_O) should I re-enable PF or?
Leave it.
yeah what can i get rid of to free up my space????????. atm i have about 20 things running that i dont know what they are and dont want to remove them incase i need them...
I treid it for a week or so. Some of the lag went away, but I started crashing to the desktop. Best thing you can do is get a 2nd gig of ram, or at least add another 512.
You dont have enough ram to disable the pagefile and play BF2.
BF2 uses around 1.5Gb of memory. Plus the 200 - 300Mb XP requires means you need 2Gb before you can disable the pagefile.
If you get up to 2Gb then yes it would help your loads in between maps, and you may get better FPS as you wont need to access game data from the slower pagefile.
Hope this helps man

NEVER DISABLE THE PAGE FILE.
I've seen someone with 2Gigs do that and not be able to open Photoshop CS2

The page file is a file on disk which the OS moved "pages" of less frequently accessed data from the RAM into. This allows your PC to work with less physical memory that it needs to but can cause a slow down when it comes to retrive the pages. However, this slowdown isn't that great and it better than running out of total RAM (physical plus swap) as that can make the OS or programs it running crash.
Disabling the page file to top paging is a bit like cutting your leg off to get rid of athlete's foot. Dumb.
If you want to avoid paging then buy more physical RAM
