BF2S Forums Which matters more to you?

Rank matters to me in that it might give me the edge over someone else when trying for commander and in as much as it leads to the unlocks, but I don't need it to feel important. In fact on my sniping account I'd be happy if I could choose not to advance in rank if that were possible.

You can never have to many guns, so yeah I care more about having guns, but i also like the rank yeah it doesn't realy do any thing for you accept make you more of a target, I have seen so many topics about " I killed a 3 star general today" and shit like that.  But who cares everyone dies in this game no one is untouchable.  I feel that the ranks are good because the give you something to work twards after you get all of the unlocks, but I can honestly say that after I reached my sgt. major rank the game is more about having fun instead of trying to get the last two guns unlocked.  I purposly left the p90 and the L96a1 for my last 2 unlocks so that I worked harder to get them.  but in the end the p90 is cool but I would use the mp5 just as much if not more, and the L96a1 is awsome but I only use it when I'm not USMC I used the m24 so much that i use it over the L96.  I just like to hear the drum roll when you reach a new rank.

I need a rank to be commander, and i rarely am because theres always at least one commander happy first sergeant or higher in every game (im gunnery sergeant)

I need unlocks to do damage most stock weapons are ok, but there are also completely useless ones (like the SVD, i suck with it)

The only unlock which is really better than the other is maybe the L96A1, but the M24 is very close to.

At first all I wanted was the guns, but now I have quite a respectable rank I care about it.

The G36C is unbelievably accurate, the F2000 has flashbangs and who wouldnt pick a PKM over the SAW?
Some people would prefer stock weaps, but im just comfortable with using my unlocks.. except MG36

Unlocks, I could give a flying @#!2 about rank and stats. The stat sysstem is a joke and so are ranks. I like the little music that plays when you get promoted....WOOT! unlock TIME!

yeah where's the option for "neither", I just play to score well and help my team win.  Like DEFENDING THE ISLAND ON KARKAND or DEFENDING THE TV STATION ON SHARQUI.   Or substitute CAPTURE for DEFENDING, so many jackasses dont get these critical ideas...

My rank is more important, as it gives me priority over others. Unlocks are nubby.

I dont care for most of the un-lock guns

Peoples' votes in this thread is influenced by their current rank.  All of the people over sarge major are going to say their most interested in rank, and all of the people under sarge major are going to say theyre most interested in the unlocks because they dont have all of them yet.  Its if u do/dont have all of the unlocks thats going to influence your vote in this thread.  So, I do like to look at my rank, its shiny;)
