I play regularly with a lot of guys who are on TS and I have noticed that I seem to receive a massive slice of luck on far too many occasions… For example, someone will get the drop on me just after I have spammed a few med-packs below me, as I’m getting healed he empties an entire clip in me and I spin round and drop him in 1 3rnd burst. Now he put 3x the amount of rounds required to kill an un-armoured target into me and I get healed too fast for him to get the kill. Another example is, I’m engaged in a fire-fight with multiple enemy and manage to hot foot it away, over TS I get abused by them as basically they all ran out of ammo at the most opportune moment and I made good my escape. Does anyone else notice the outrageous luck this game can sometimes bestow and are there any other “lucky SOB’s” out there?

On a similar note, I get so many kills just popping a random round off at a guy who must only have 1 bar its not really even funny. Sometimes I will literally see someone and pop a pistol shot at them “to put the frighteners on them” and see a kill pop up… I only started doing that as I basically did not consider the % chance of a hit good enough with my rifle but wanted the enemy to know they were being shot at to make them more cautious.

Also on the opposite spectrum (A LA Unbreakable) there must be a “Mr.Glass” who has this random s@#t happen against them all the time, I mean I have seen some bad luck from time to time but some people mush have it A LOT more than me….
My favourite example would be when I was new and dickin’ about with the m95, I took a pop at a B’Hawk, killing the pilot, the thing fell like a stone onto a full friendly Vodink, I got all the kills, but all the TK’s as well and was promptly kicked from the server… .Funny … but annoying

I get lucky sometimes. Yesterday I was on warlord I went on top of the plaza building with the AK-101 and for some reason I could NOT miss. I was killing EVERYONE with 3 shot bursts WITHOUT the ironsights until the arty hit me. I just fire a 3 shot burst at someone and they just dropped dead it happened with everyone it was odd but awesome.

aaaaaaah yeah. I get a bit of both really, like yesterday I saw a 3 man squad ahead of my FAV I was driving so I got out with my P90 <3 and let rip, killing all of 'em and losing anbout 4 bars of health.
On the other hand, I'm sitting on the USS Essex and a blackhawk goes away without me on it, I get annoyed so I fire at it with my harmless F2000. Little did I know it was giving off black smoke and one clip sent it ploughing into the sea. TKTKTKTKTKTKTKTK! so I was kicked from the server.

My luck varies greatly - some rounds i just can't miss, and other times i can empty an entire clip into someone's back, only to have them turn to see what the noise was and kill me!

You have good days and bad days, and sometimes a mixture of the two!

Like today as it happens...on wake I spawned into bursts of fire 5 or 6 times, then my stolen chopper got rammed by my passenger-carrying teammates chopper (they both PTKed), then NOBODY would give me a ride so I had to walk all the way up from the south flag to the airfield, and just as I'm getting towards the flag I see a buggy headed my way so I pop out the AT rocket and shoot one at him. Direct hit, but BF2 being the wonderfully bug-free thing it is, the rocket passes through him and he runs me over....and is promptly promoted to Staff Sergeant!!!!!! THAT, ladies and gentlemen, is called a SLAP IN THE NUTS!!

Later on while playing Karkand 64 I jihad-jeeped it to the USMC base, blew up their sat and UAV, killed 2 guys with my gun and 1 with a nade, then dodged a hail of bullets as I successfully stole the M1A2 (sensing a theme yet? ), taking the time to wipe out the 3 guys who were shooting at me. On my way back to the far side of the river I used said stolen M1A2 to get a few random kills and cap a couple of flags including Suburb, where I was greeted by 8 soldiers...did I say 8 soldiers? I mean't 16 points

Im a believer in battlefield "karma" good and bad. Some games in a chopper with a good gunner, we can make an attack run on 10 troops on the ground and come away with 1 driver kill assist, even though we blanketed them with rockets and cannon fire, then be smoked by a tank hiding behind the building. Other games enemys just seem to jump in front of u and let u kill them. maybe there is a higher power at work?

i was in a tank at karkand, and came head on with the enemy tank, he got the fist hit,but no damage, he hit me again,,still no damage??,,he hit me a third time and still no damage, my hit then killed him. an apc comes behind it and rockets me,,still no damage...some wee asshat sneaks up while im fighting apc thinking im fuking god in armour and blows me up with c4.

there is a lot of inconsistances in the game thats why i never scream "OMFGHAXOR"

luck, and/or lag have a big effect in the game. The other night I was playing with some guys that I think had lag working in there favore. On two occations I am chaseing for the knife kill ( they don't know I am there), I attempted to stab each 3 or 4 times getting dust and hit sound before they relized I was there and opened up on full auto at me.

Although I have my lucky moments.
Hearing somebody sneak up behind you while you are sniping,getting up,strafing sideways and firing off a whole clip of pistol ammo into the guy - that worked for me 3 times in one round,guess that was way more luck than skill.

If they hear rounds behind them, chances are they are going to be looking over their shoulder in the direction they came from as opposed to from where im going to be hunting them from. Thats largely based on alot of Karkand time from myself and hunting in alleyways. Plus chances are im running with a whole squad and the element of surprise dont mean much when your packing the firepower of six squaddies

Puff of smokes, that i had not even counted on... hey do you notice alot of that on the fixed MG's? Seems to happen to me more when im hitting someone on one of them.... and with knives.

How many times have you been revived on 1 second only to die immediately as well, i can honestly say i have spent 3 mins in limbo on a particularly bad round from that.... recon that accounts for my death streak as well!
