CPU: celeron 478 2.8GHZ (northwood I think)
RAM: 1gb RAM (2x 512)
GPU:x1600PRO agp
HDD: 120gb WD 7250rpm I think

is the processor/ram holding me back? (one stick of ram is 3 years old , STILL works though, same with proc and HDD) When I play most of todays games I get like no more than 30 FPS max, and it NEVER stays at that, when I play BF2 I can usually get decent frames and stuff at medium-ish 1024x768 but it stutters more than stuttering stanley when theres major combat (IE like 6 infantry onscreen, and vehicles) I know BF2 needs really like 1.5gb ram, but is my processor holding me back big time, if I upgraded to an AMD 64 3000+, would I notice a lot of performance increase? Im just a teen and with right now (too many problems) I cant get a job to buy a really nice processor. Seeing as the AMD3000 is only 90$, (inc mobo its around 130+$). Would the CPU help me a ton?

New processor and 2gb ram is a must.

oh yea just to show how pitiful this thing is, it scored 6069 on 3dmark03 and 1549 on 3dmark06, some person on  3dmark06 OC'ed a processor to 7GHZ and scored like 13k

16k is where I'm sitting actually, I agree w/ previous poster - more RAM and ditch that goddamn celeron.  No need to go too high w/ the processor as you're running AGP graphics.
