Formatted, game runs even worse!

My game was running decent, but slowing down a bit. So due to this and a fewother reasons, I formatted. I installed all my drivers (i'm pretty sure) and my settings are exactly the same, but the game runs like crap!

I even lowered the settings (I used to be able to run on pretty high settings) but no luck.

Specs:

AMD Athlon XP 3000+
ATI Radeon 850XT 256 MB
2 GB ddr 3200 ram
Sound Blaster Live! 5.1

Any ideas of stuff to check, settings to check?

My mate has the same prob it used to run like a dream and now its lags so much, dunno what to tell you mate.

Yeah, if you format, you might as well just reformat completely. Also make sure to install all of your driver updates.

I defrag my computer once a month, keeps it running smoooooooth

have u installed your AGP DRIVER i made that mistake once after formating my drive
its on the cd that came with your Motherboard

if u bring up display properties and go in to settings than go in to Advanced and than go in to Troubleshoot
is your hardware acceleration at full
