I cant even play this game anymore

I've spent 2 hours trying to play this game and havent even got through a full round.

8 Times my game crashes, 6 to desktop, 2 causing me to reset.

I get on and the server crashes.

Why cant they just release a damn hot fix.

I've got, FEAR, Quake 4, Hitman, Oblivion and Half Life 2 sitting here waiting to be completed but I gave them up because I love playing bf2 but now I cant even do that.

Try resetting your router. I had connection issues for a bit until I did that.

just wait for patch 1.4 hopefully it fixes the crash problem some people have

Yeah. Fix those and create 5 more.

Nothing is worse than having a 39/40 server and someone joins and it crashes. Kills the server for the night.

i think 1.4 will be alot better, i mean there actually going to put them out for beta testing now, so lets hope Oh and man there is a sticky in one of the forums with things to try to fix issues like that so be good if you read it.

Standart situation for BF2
Step 1 launch > crash to desktop
Step 2... errr, retry of step 1 after 3 crashes which takes 10-30 mins of your time at last you can play... but then you will see "connection lost"... EA\DICE should make some messagebox afterall... like "have a nice day !"

I know how you feel... Ive been playing games online since way way way before the internet
was even around.. since the early 80s with B/W screens.. and NEVER EVER EVER have I seen
a game so patheticly written, horribly supported.

Add that to the way a lot of players exploit the game, with cartillery, intentional tks for vehics,
all the clueless noobs running around not even trying to take any bases.. , useless commanders
who only help themselves...

this game is a joke.. I used to play 3-4-5 games a day.. now I might play 2 games a week..

Unreal Tournament 2004 makes this game look like noobville.

dont just play bf2 all the time, play some other games for like 1 week every month or a few hours every week to get yer mind off of bf2

I can't believe it either. I've tried to play for about an hour this Saturday and out of all the games I joined only one round actually finished. All the servers are crashing - at least thats my experience.

Oh well time to play something else.

I actually went back to playing older versions of the game. A lot less servers, yeah, but a lot less bullshit, too, once you get used to the old combat again.
