IMO I would LOVE to be able to have the AK-101 with me no matter what army I'm playing as. I'd also like to always be able to use the PP-19 and RPK-74 but thats just me. I like the G3 and all, but i'd gladly trade my G3 for an AK-101 anytime. I think that this should be implemented such that, if you have the bade or ribbon for playing on MEC, PLA, or USMC you should be able to unlock some or all of those sides weapons for regular use as long as you have the first tier unlock for that class. ie to unlock the AK-101 you must first unlock the G3 etc etc. I'm sure there would be a better way to implement this but this is all I could think of offhand.

It would be good but un real i know this game aint meant to be spot on but i like the idea of it.
You have to learn the rules of the game and then you have to play better than anyone else.
If I had a 101 as USMC and RPK74 I would rape every server I went to.
if all the defaults were locked what would you use in the start of the game.

Nah, I like the way it is right now. I just love picking up an AK-101 as a USMC, it gives you that 'i have a gun you don't have' feel that you got with unlocks before 1.03.
the rpk is pretty much the perfect support gun. the m249 spreads too much and is too weak for long range stuff, and the pkm doesn't have a fast enough fire rate for close quarters. and that chinese thing just blows all around. i'd spend an unlock to have the ability use that gun anyplace anytime.

I think they shouldn't cause they are DEFAULT one... If default would be... unlockable... they would not reamin the default one so...

The idea was that the default kit gun for any given army could also be "unlocked" upon obtaining a new rank, and would then be selectable even if you are not in that army. For example, choosing to unlock the AK101 - which is an MEC default- and then you would be able to select it just as you would any other unlockable when you were PLA or USMC. Therefore when in an army with a different default than that specific weapon, it would show up as an option when cycling through unlockable weapons for that kit...all the default kit guns would still be completely the same. And I like that idea now that I've reached the ranks where promotions don't yield weapon unlocks, but I doubt if Dice cares to try to implement anything like that at this stage of the game's existence.
