i thinks bf2 should change AK-47 into Type 56, because that that's the formal name of the chinese made AK-47

If we really wanted realism in this game, all of the insurgents will have AK47s due to the market flood from the Cold War.
Carbine versions, regular versions, A2, A1, varients, pineapples, it can totally kiss my ass. Ive done a lot of reading on guns, but not enough to argue about carbine varients and their proper markings.
All I know is M16A1 was replaced by the A2 to conserve ammo, and the carbine of the 16 = M4.

Back on topic: Maybe the 47 should be upgraded, but I wouldnt want to see it get replaced by some ugly bullpup. AK74 or leave it. I mean the QBZ seriously reminds me of an inbred P90. Like the 85 and the 90 got it on and the QBZ was made.

the QBZ-97 looks more like a retarded FAMAS than a P90
