What is with this quest for perfection?

What is with all these people constantly going 'we want a bug free perfect bf2 before this or because of that lalalalala. I mean, COME ON! Do you REALLY think EA/DICE give a thought over what YOU want? They care about what there shareholders want. They make patches and stuff as ongoing support because theres going to inevitably be problems and we want it fixed, yeah. But there comes a point where they wont bother making more patches and will just abandon us to our meaty fate.

There is no such thing as perfection, it is the thing constantly out of our reach. Get it through your heads these people who want a perfect bf2, ITS NEVER GONNA HAPPEN! Be happy that EA/DICE actually DO make patches to try and make our gaming experience better. Yeah, some of them suck badly eg 1.3, but last time i checked we were all pretty damn satisfied with 1.2 and 1.22. Yet theres those of you who still whine about this and that shite. Adapt people! and accept that your going to buy 2142. Its the battlefield child in all of us!

I don't expect perfection ... but I do expect professional software with a huge customer base to not frequently CTD and servers not to crash every 10 rounds.

Well if they want anymore of my money they can give me perfection. I'm sure its the same for a lot of people. I mean, come on, its barely acceptable if a game crashes once every 20hrs playing time. But ebery 20 mins. These dickhead deserved to be hanged, revived and beaten to death.

anyway, back on topic, i like all the new patches, makes bf2 more challenging with every patch

remember that EA is based in the US, and it's easy to get sued there...if they don't do their job, and make dice do theirs, they're looking to get sued...
We paid for something, and we expect to get what we paid for...

You paid for BF2 1.0, and that is what you got. There is no obligation to install patches.

We paid for an online games, where we can easily find servers and play all day if we like. Without the patches, my version is not compatible with the servers, and I can't play. Therefore I would not be getting what I paid for... comprende?

I dissagree.

They might not CARE but they still listen to us, the problem is they listen to the wrong people.

The UAV flying overhead for example, what a pointless and utter shite feature that only existed because of little kids saying things over and over.

Fair enough its SLIGHTLY cool, but for what, why bother, for all that trouble we could have had something usefull and something we NEED.

They do listen to us, they just totally fuck it all up or listen to the wrong people.

Whine, Bitch, Moan, Complain pick whichever you want. Asfar as perfection goes, its impossible for EA/DICE to make everybody happy. What you may view as the best idea for the BF2, i may think its completely retarded. You Paid for BF2 V1.0 and that is it. EA/DICE doesn't in anyway shape or form make you download and install patches. so put that in your pipe and smoke it.

Actually there is, since BF2 is mostly an online multiplayer based game with a ''new ranking system'' which means that untill 1.1 came out u weren't obliged to install patches, but afterwards u did have to else you would be stuck with a game which is made for online play, but you can't play it online, since there won't be any server running 1.0.

U were obliged to install patches..

1)cant reach the pedals so he cant go any where<EA trying to think of every bug
2)if they get the gas theyll crash<EA trying to fix the patch doesnt work out

i guess they are doing a little better but what ever

i think there is a quest for perfection because just about every other company has their shit together and can make a game with very very little to no bugs. and if there are bugs then they arent anything like CTD.

but even with these bugs, i sitll have a fun time with the game, and CTD has only happened to me a couple times.
