Well I was checking out random profiles and came to KingCobra666 so how come he's gunnery sergeant when you need 8,000 global points for it but he only has 5128?

You shouldn't get to keep your rank if you are caught cheating or hacking. In fact, your BF2 kit uniform should be red and it should show on the map for both sides during the game.
Looks like he was reset about 4 times at that. When will EA learn that some people just don't know how to play with out cheating and just ban the cd key. IMHO

but I agree, he most likely has been reset a couple of times. Only reson I can think of why his rank wouldn't match his global score.

If I remember correctly,
Chuy doens't 'reset badges and ranks for an account. The dbase here probably only records that you earned them; but there will not be a script that removes awards and ranks once received… because… well… that wouldn’t be a logical way of action.
In the beginning the script here didn’t even adjusted a drop in score, which was also considered an impossible event. When Chuy recoded the complete dbase here, he took that into account. At the moment he probably updates every field that changes in any ‘direction’. But doesn’t check if earned rewards and ranks are being removed again.
The question is rather is this important?
Should Chuy make and process even more code so that accounts that were reset are shown correctly?
IMHO they screwed up, let there stats be screwed up. In BFHQ (in game) their stats, badges and ranks will be shown correctly. Here you can trace back their score in the history tab and see how often they were caught. This will explain any anomaly, here indeed 4 times. So I vote for a key-ban! … Alas, my voice remains of little importance. But his stats did go flat line for a month now, do maybe just maybe.
Anyways, in short; check his stats in BFHQ and he will not have that rank, here he does because he was caught cheating.

alright, alright, alright....I just meant that a kill streak of 73 of someone who has been reset 4 times already looks suspicious. But then again, once you have been reset that many times, everything you do tends to look suspicious, I guess.....spawnofthemist wrote:
