I am trying to find a server that I can play bf2 that does not require that I belong to their clan. Oh I know you can play on any of them but let me explain. I am not very good and not as fast as the other people, I want to be on TS or Ventrilo and be part of squard. It's the shits being older then Dirt but young at heart and want to play with the younger guys, just an old fart that wants to be part of bf2, catch up is the shits but , I am learning from all the posts I read. Point the direction and will follow it. Retired and to much time on my hands. I should be an Expert at bf2.Well nothing venture nothing gain. Thanks for any help. Old Dogs can Learn.

§1.21 TK PUNISHMENT
§ Option A: TK punish is optional for the player by using the pgup/pgdn voting system.
§ Option B: TK punish is to be set to automatic or on, but may not be set to off.
2 EA OFFICIAL PUBLIC SERVER RULES
These are rules that EA official server administrators enforce to maintain friendly, disciplined servers and are in addition to the global rules defined above.
§2.1 You may not use any offensive or sexually explicit language in chat or voice mode.
§2.2 You may not use foul or slanderous language involving race, gender, sexual preference, religion or creed.
§2.3 You may not deliberately hinder your own team or acting in such as way as to cause team mates unavoidable deaths or team losses.
§ Commander flying or in a vehicle instead of commanding
§ Destruction of friendly vehicles
§ Excessive team killing
§ Team switching to gain medals or awards
§ You may not display abusive behaviour towards administrators. If you feel that you have been treated unfairly, you may lodge an appeal on the official forums

I think joining a clan always helps from what I've seen. For starters you are typically automatically moved to the clan's side, and the clan typically wins, so it helps your W/L ratio there. Plus, they typically have a teamspeak server and will move you into their channel. I've found that most people don't use the in game voip and use an external solution.
I've actually decided to try and join a clan, and even as an applicant I am reaping the rewards of heightened communication and the open sharing of ideas. Plus, it's just a hell of a lot more fun if you're in a game w/ a bunch of people you already have a rapport with.
Even before applying, I always enjoyed the Black Knights Clan server. <shrug> It may not work with your style, but I dig it. Seriously, way to go on not letting your age dictate what you do or how you do it. Just the fact that you're using a computer speaks volumes of your ability to adapt.

ROE is only applied to EA official servers and some servers are guidlines... the ppl who rent the servers didnt sign the ROE...

Your stats are better than mine in many cases - you have some awesome BR's and have never been a commander. That rocks big time.
I'm in Australia - you can usually find me on Internode or Gamearena servers. If you can get a low enough ping (300) you can join my squad anytime. Seriously.
Be aware that I play purely for fun and to have a good time. I forgive accidental TKs automatically. To me there's nothing more rewarding than hearing my squad cackle with laughter when I reveal that I just roadkilled myself with a boat or got arty'd and hit the UAV on the way down. I still like to win, but not at the expense of other people's enjoyment of the game.
If that sounds like your kind of squad, and you can get the ping low enough, come play with us.
