How often do you go out of your way to repair the cmndr's toys? If i see the artillery or UAV station down i'll make a mental note to spawn as engy the next time i die and go fix 'em. If I notice that everything is down and I dont think i'm gonna die soon sometimes i'll sucide so i can got to engy. Earlier I was cmdr on karkand. the enemy comdr was being an ass-hat and kept dropping cartillery on my arty guns. I was running back and forth between the two repairing them. What really surprised me was that there were three other guys doing the same thing.
if I'm asked to, I'll spawn as engy and go do it. To that end, as a cmdr, I always play engy so I don't have to rely on the team, because let's face it - repairing my arty isn't a good point scoring system. It's way the hell out of your way, there's usually one guy there with a better gun than you who will probably kill you when you get there, and if you do succeed, you get one point. Maybe. So, I've learned to repair my own shit.
I definatly do so if I'm playing that kit. It's another point, fer one, and it's good team play.

Cartillary rocks!!! It may just be the way i get my expert repair badge. I've been trying to get that badge for a very long time. I've heard all the ways of getting it and keep coming up short, usually about 2 points shy. I've heard some ways to pad to get it. I understand why some people resort to this manner, but i refuse to earn my expert badges with "dirty tactics". I will earn all my expert badges on foot, and feel damn good about them all. The only one that i'll earn in a vehicle i've already received (engi).
So yes i will go out of my way to make sure my CO has his assets functioning. If i notice the enemy is targeting the assets i'll form a squad called 'Mr. Fix It'. Then i tell (VoIP) my CO to just send word of an asset down and i'll drop everything to repair/protect.

I always stop to repair them. I typically derive more satisfaction from the support/team play aspect of the game than the fighting side of it (due partly to my humorous lack of combat skill).

Honestly it depends on how good or bad our commander is. If he's shit and only giving himself UAVs, never spotting people, and artying poorly, then I couldn't care less. If he's doing a good job then I'll be much more likely to oblige.

If i'm killed and i notice that repairs are needed,i will spawn as engineer and do what needs to be done.
If I am close enough ...or if the commander asks I will repair....hey easy points!!
147 Hrs as Engie and 551 repair points. Spanner whore. I try to repair anything that needs it. I may be shit with a gun but if i can keep the vehicles and assets working then i think i am doing my bit to help the side.

well, usually I repair them. in fact, several times, the addition of the commander assets can turn a roud around( I have actually seen, and been a factor in,rounds seeming to be no-hopers, and coming within an inch of victory.)
I haven't repaired commander assets in like 6 months, I used to do it all the time before.

I have 526 repair points and 555 heal points :p and over 1000 support points hehe.
I have one repair point? And i dont understand why....
I make myself a mental note if I see our commanders toy in ruins to spawn as engy next time I die and repair them. But what do I get after that? A useless thankyou from the commander and that's it. I have no idea why it wont let me receive a repair point ? :S

That's strange, if the commander asset was destroying with 2 C4s it would lose around 110%-120% health, and should give you a full repair point when repairing.BattlefieldMedic wrote:

Best way to get repair points is to stay around friendly vehicles in your own vehicle, then you are almost invincible (bombers and attack helos still rape you, c4 does aswell, and mines)
