BF2S Forums Royal Marines vs. US Marines

Comparing Brits major organizations to American ones is like taking a younger scrappy little brother in Junior High and comparing him to his older brother who is in college. Military, Corporations, Politics, etc.  I sometimes really wish that American in general could be just a touch more refined and less what they are now. That is last statement is open to intereptation. Fire away.

Strange that you should mention this when in the UK, we're all complaining about budget and equipment and in the past we've had to borrow from the US (Gulf), in fact, so much so that your lads started calling our lads 'the borrowers'.

Personally as for 'who's better'. I think it's a case of each to their own. The US Marines do a mighty fine job, as do the Royal Marines... We should combine them to make the ultimate fighting force

Looking at two armies and asking which one is better never works out.  It could be that the Royal marriens practiced desert warfare to the degree they could be paradroped in 1k miles from bagdad and make thier wiht little to know provisions.  The US die in route, change the situation to jungle and the reverse could be true.

Personaly I think the brits are better equiped except soldier per soldier. . . but an abrams is hard to beat

Although I imagine a few varried wargames could give you an answer, good luck getting both countries to try it while activly involved in "peace keeping operations"
