i read the sticky and tried the dxdiag acceleration fix but it didnt work.
here is my problem:
i have this microphone and it worked fine on my old computer. VOIP worked on my old desktop. i got a new laptop about a week ago and now ive noticed voip doesnt work.
ventrillo works, my computer recognizes my microphone and i can record my voice. however, the voipsetup simply doesnt register my voice when i talk into the microphone.
i assume its my sound card. there is only 1 port for the microphone so it has to be the right one.
i have a SigmaTel Audio card
when i purchased my laptop i bought the HD sound pack. this gave me an "audigy advanced mb" cd which i installed on my comp.
so...whats the problem? i play a lot and whenever i have a good commander who uses voip i like to use it back because i usually play helicopter with my bro and it helps if the commander spots enemy copters so we can sneak up on them. voip would help immensely...although i just use vent when i play with my bro, being able to talk to the commander would be nice too
voipsetup isnt recognizing my voice.
interestingly enough, even though EA says only the main sound port will work i always had the mike plugged into the front port on my desktop and never had a problem.
