BF2S Forums Another patch

Exactly. So there are 7 more unlocks. 7 tier-1 and 7 tier-2.



Wish EA would let me hand a couple of my unlocks back *cough* L85A1 *cough*. I wonder how they will handle this? If someone has burned through all 7 unlocks, say Blazin.UK, does that mean that they can never unlock the SF weapons as tier-2 weapons?

Reduce the rank requirements again? Don't be ridiculous. The first reduction was bad enough.

CmdWedge: No - as I understand it, you have to unlock the Tier 1 unlocks (the G3, DAO-12 etc) in order to start unlocking the Tier 2 weapons. So for example, once you've unlocked the G3, you're then able to start working toward unlocking the Tier 2 assualt weapon.

I'm quite interested to see just how good/bad (probably the latter) the SF release is going to be, in terms of completeness and bugs. Given the EA track record thus far, I think we're going to need a new Forum header: "BF2:SF - New Patch Requirements"...

Thank God I saved one just in case.

They are 2nd Tier unlocks.
You have to get the normal unlock 1 Tier before able to get the 2nd Tier for that Kit.

So nobody will be able to get all the unlocks for all the kits now, like they could in BF2? I mean, there are like 7 total unlocks. That's one unlock per kit. With the expansion, that means you could get three fully (2-tier) unlocked kits and the one 1-tier unlock. That kind of sucks.

I mean, since people are going to want to play with just one character for most of their BF2 career, they're going to want to switch around now and then...

For a 280 meg patch I was expecting a longer patch update list. Nothing mentioned about how the game detects tk's, nothing about the red bug, nothing about the server list not refreshing...

None the less I'm psyched about the new unlocks and I'm hoping ebgames calls me about my copy of sf today.
