Wtf y'all?

I know this has probably been repeatedly posted on here.. but where is the LCAC hovercraft?

I mean this bad boy can carry an M1 Abrams tank in it.. its the perfect assault ship for the Marines. Definitely a plus for maps like Oman and Wake where you face a situation in which the enemy controls all land-based flags.

Wasn't included in the game, because BF2 doesn't support vehicle-on-vehicle, all vehicles on it would just blow up.

It would be cool to see... but to use it wouldn't that mean people would have to work together... or would it just be another BH with just a pilot in it flying away from the Essex with 6 people shouting "Gimme a ride" and getting ignored

i felt annoyed wen this didnt come out, they put out renders of it before BF2 was released, and i had been looking forward to it. I mean some would say that it would overpower the USMC, but i say that they are underpowered when it comes to the full on assaults like Wake and Oman. It would even it out far more, and give them a first wave of armour. it would work so much better.

Also watever happened to the BH with the rocket pods, is it the same story with that? But I think that not including that was a good move as it would have been overpowered. But the LCAC would hav been just right. bring it on.

does anyone think that EA might release the LCAC in a later patch or booster?

oh and rusty, wat is JO?

Normally I would try to mod it in but it's not even in the files, probably got taken out in beta...

Wish they would put it back in in 1.41 or 1.5 or 1.4 bug fixer or whatever they're gonna call it.

I'm 90% sure that the whole thing with allowing vehicle-on-vehicle, or even soldier-on-vehicle is hardcoded, as with 80% of the game.

In case you guys didn't notice, they wouldn't be too much of a target because they move pretty damn fast, give them enough armor to take one tv missle hit and I bet they could get to land. Helluva lot better than the RIBs though.

thanks for that rusty, cleared it up a bit for me. and i think that flaming maniac is right, they are very fast, i mean if u think about it, they are riding on a cushion of air, so there is very low friction and i hav seem them moving, they are very fast in reality. they are also big so i think that in game they should be able to take 1-2 hits from a TV missile. unfortunatly if it is hardcoded that there will be no vehicle on vehicle then it may never happen. which is sad, as they would ba great focus of team/squad work due to the neccessity to work together and also there are AA stations on those things, big MGs and grenade launchers, it would b a superb armoured platform.
