When you take of in a chopper and in a plane i think, you get a little circle that at first is on your target and then drifts of the screen. Anyone know what this is???

It's to help you hover, the only plane with it is the F-35B (Logically, only plane with VTOL), it comes up when you are moving at very few kts and your altitude is steady.
I never found out how to use it, since it's designed for keyboard hover, my joystick has a g-spot on it's throttle to hover.

Actually, I never see it when hovering, atleast I'm not paying attention to it, I'm in a hover when I see the horizon steady.

A "perfect hover" ? The way I see it, it's more along the lines of "you're drifting in THIS direction because you're trying to hover". You're only ever in a "perfect" hover whenever the thing isn't moving.
