Scince before 1.2 a few ranks under 1 star genral wherent planed. But there are ranks above it like DICE emploey, actualy, on another forums someone found all the ranks and posted them, there where pre 1.2. Im gonna go see if I can find them.

Okay, I can explain why this happens.
When a Battlefield 2 server receives a player's rank, it is returned in the value of a number. When you play with an old version of the game, your client parses these numbers as being different from the current ranks. Currently rank 20 is Lieutenant General. In patch 1.12, rank 20 referred to EA employees. [img]http://moongamerstats.com/images/rank_20.jpg[/img]. Thus, anyone that is currently a Lieutenant General will appear as an EA employee in older versions of the game.
Likewise, anyone that is rank 21 (General) will appear as a DICE employee in older versions. [img]http://moongamerstats.com/images/rank_21.jpg[/img]

Ranking icons can be found inside of Menu_client.zip HUD\Texture\Ingame\GeneralIcons\Rank\

The EA and DICE icons were removed in patch 1.2. Grab an older version of the game and you can find them in the same location.

Only place I've seen a 5 star emblem was in C&C: Generals...

It was used for the Commander in Chief. Dice are such neophytes. -_-;;
