Can 1 computer kills people on BF2 better then another? Hogwash?

Both taken by 2 different people using karkand in the general same location. Both taken using single player. Is it possible to believe one of the following (if you don't care...don't post please). As you can see they are not exact. However, do server the purpose. Some can argue that the second video is further way but that's not the point. Either you can kill in one shot or you cannot. There is no leverage to debate the 1-2 foot distance between said vids.

Here is the issue...can a remington kill with 1 shot from medium to long range. The person of the first video argued you can. The person in the second video argued you cannot without the aid of some sort of 3rd party program or, the bot was already had damaged health.

So I thought of the following:
-that it's possible that only certain computers somehow can allow you to take out opponents with 1 shot from medium range (my definition no need to debate that) using the remington. Remember bots in both vids are at full health.

-it's a simple hack, no need to get complex about it

-Other

As you can see it's about as precious as you can get as far as distance is concerned give or take a foot or 2. However. The issue is if
-cheats exist
-how effective is PB at removing cheaters from the servers
-blantant flaunting of said skills in place of maybe some other 3rd party program...

Too many variables to say for sure...maybe the bot in the first vid was already injured enough that even a well placed rock to the noggin would have taken him down. I would submit however that some machines may help a person's gameplay...better graphics, components, accessories may help a person perform better on a better machine.

I'd recommend using something other than a shotgun. A shotgun shoots a number of small pellets at a target with each shot fired. BF2 does this by making them shoot in a cone shape. The circle you see as your crosshair shows the area in which each pellet can travel. However, as far as I know, each pellet is fired randomly in that circle/cone. In the first video, 10 pellets may have hit the person and killed him, whereas in the second video, only 2 may have hit him. However, both times you get a hit indicator since at least one of your pellets did hit your target. This is why when at range with a shotgun you can either do maximum damage to a person...or barely do any damage.

If you don't believe me, take a shotgun and shoot it at a wall. Notice where the bullet holes are.

I just inherited a new bad-ass computer and I started a new account. I would have to say that, yes, it does make a difference. I kick ass now. I have always just been a mediocre player but I finish in the top 5 almost everythime I play now.

Some people simply lack the reflexes or the understanding of the game/killer instinct (i kinda laugh saying that talking about a video game) to ever really be that great. But a good gamer on a system that chugs in heavy combat is at a marked disadvantage. And if you take into account all of the different areas where a mediocre machine underperforms next to a powerhouse, it would be easy to assume that the same person might shoot at the same spot on an enemy's body on both machines, but due to the ever-so-slight difference in milliseconds of his machines' response to the keystroke, he might hit slightly further away from the targeted spot, resulting in, say, hitting an arm as opposed to the heart on a moving target.

I didn't watch the video, but speaking from experience via upgrading my own system a few times after getting BF2, I noticed improvements in my apparent "skill" each time...I don't think I personally improved my aim at all (I played CS for 6 years before BF2, and Quake 1 and 2 before that...my shots are usually pretty spot on), but instead simply was able to better facilitate the demise of my enemies through an improved gameplay experience.

I second that. With the shot guns you have to be very close to the victem to ensure that all the pellets hit. One shot kills are very possible. The DAO or S12K (the weeker shotguns) can one-shot kill if 3 out of the 8 pellets hit the head, for the rest its 2 of 8. This has nothing to do with the playability of a prticular PC or a hack.

Since the sources of the videos is different and neither is in a controled enviorment you can't make any conclutions on how PC performance affects play. A players ability is a sum of the parts: PC performance, Connection Speed/Latency/QOS, Players Skill.

Heres my best guess:

Some different kits in BF2 have body armour and in the second vid the man was aiming at the chest reigon whereas in the first was at the head or chest and my guess is that in the first the bot (yes bot)had no armour on whereas he did in the second.

Muse on that.

hey guys if some of you have the time, why not start a quick 5 minute single player game on karkand using the remington to see how you fair at medium range. Use fraps to record it then use blazing media pro or winmpg convert to conver avi to mpg so you can upload it to that vid site or google's vid site.
