ok, since i downloaded 1.4 beta, i have been running 1.3 from a seperate folder, like this

the BF2 and SF icons link to 1.4 beta, so i have to go into the folder to run 1.3

-now i tried to install AF again today, but it will only install to the 1.4 folder, and i cant change that, so i cant play AF on 1.3, which is what i want. Is there someway that i can get rid of the 1.4 disease, without uninstalling the game.. because even after following that little speech that came with the patch i still fucked it up

Wait...How the hell did you get multiple patches without uninstalling? AND can you play them separately?

at first, i uninstalled 1.00, and then i patched to every patch i liked, made a folder on my desktop, and then fowared patched the game. and now i seem to be stuck

edit: and the reason i dont want to uninstall is, the installation gets stuck on the objects_zip and then stops installing

It could be because your core BF2 files (such as bf2.exe) are updated with the patch, so when you click on the BF2 or SF icons, youre starting your bf2.exe file, thus starting the game. If you're trying to install AF to the 1.3 vers. of the game, try changing the location of the save or move your bf2.exe into the 1.3 folder. But, remember if you move your bf2.exe to the 1.3 folder, the BF2 and AF won't work unless you put it back. I could be way off the solution to the problem but this is my best guess.

naw i got it to work, another user on my network was taking files out of my hard drive for no reason in particular :x
