Why don't you other pilots use the MG while flying? You only seem to use it when you chase other jets. The MG can take down APC's! Use it when a flag goes neutral and you dont have any bombs. Or just spray it at the last spawnpoint they have left. I often fly with a good pilot (I'm not so bad myself) but they never use the MG, when they run out of bombs they always fly back to the airstrip instead of racking up kills.

I don´t use the MG as in most strafing runs I either end up crashing in some trees or I get shot down by tanks (must´ve got some kind of SABOT magnet in my helmet).

I use the MG constantly when flying. First off its the only thing I use to kill enemy jets, the F'ing missles just lock on friendlies. Anyway, I always hit flags with guns blasting when on a bomb run. I also use guns to kill jeeps/cars and save my bombs for tanks and APC's. I have killed both wounded tanks and APC's with guns only while lining them up for a bomb run which allows me to keep my bombs and find another target. Fixed AA guns are always killed with guns, no need to waste my bombs when a quick gun burst kills both the enemy and the AA gun itself. Killing choppers is very easy on bomb mode, they dont get locked and you just blow them to hell and back with the guns.

Its my main weapon also. I try to aim at the cockpit of helo's most of the time to nail the pilots especially if they fly one like me which is 2 feet off the ground.

The Jet's MG is one of the best weapons  in the whole game. It is the easiest way to take out jeeps, boats... and also tanks get damage. I love this gun ;-)

I agree, its the best weapon the Jet has, I Love Wake Island because you just MG the Boats, the Helecopters, the Deck of the Carrier, end up with 20+ Kills in the first 10 Minutes.

China own3z the Skies, J-10 are the best Planes in the Game.

You mean the jets have missles and bombs too??!?

Huh, never noticed.

The mark of a good pilot is the MGs.  I would say 95% of my jet kills are from the MG's, they're the most accurate weapon on the jet.

i personally think the game was balanced to make for more dogfights, less misslefights.

guns rule, honestly, i dont use them enough a/g. a/a its the only thing i use (missle are just too easy to evade). only time i have a/a reticle up is when i wanna make em run or panic em.

ill try to make sure and make more strafing runs on guns. there are few things in the game as terrifing as seeing somebody walk their gun towards you....

Cannons are the best weapon to rack up kills but will do nothing to tanks. I usually never go back to the base until ive used up my MG ammo.

The trick with heat-seekers is come up behind an enemy plane in bomb mode so he won't hear you beep him, wait until he's blown his flares or is on an attack approach.

Now get as close to his tailpipe as you can, wait till he's flying nice and straight then turn on the heat seeking mode and fire away (make sure no other friendly craft are in front of you).
