Hi!
HALO = High Altitude,Low Opening
I have noticed lately that most people immediately open their parachutes when they bail out.
So basically they perform a HAHO-jump,High Altitude,High Opening - which is totally stupid.
I enjoy killing paratroopers with my sniper rifle while they slowly "descend from heaven",feels like duck hunting.
I always perform a HALO-jump,I open the parachute at the very last moment.
This gives you the advantage of not being able to be shot at while in the air...I think even spotting you is difficult while you freefall.
Today I got on the carrier that way,completely unnoticed from everybody on the deck.
Just the part where you need to get with the heli over the carrier is a bit difficult.Then you jump out at 200,250 meters and just let yourself fall,you open the parachute at a height of about 3-4 meters,just as if you jump off a low roof.
There are a lot of applications for this,but it seems a lot of people are not really aware of it.
Since BF1942 I have been HALO-jumping and kept this habit in BF2...So I've got 22 hours aviator,44 hours helicopter and a parachute time of 14 minutes...isn't that much,is it?
Anyways,use the HALO-jump,saves tickets.
