Cannot log in to my account

Hi all,

Bit of a strange problem here.

I can no longer log into my usual account (Labrador_wow_wow). Every time I try to log in, I get the 'connecting to account server' message and the spinning 2 logo, but it never actually gets to login. I've had this account for several months without any troubles and didn't change anything to my system recently.

here's where it gets very bizarre:
- I created a new account and I can log into it without any problems
- I cannot login to my usual accounts from 2 different PC's. Doubtful that the installation would have been corrupted on two PC's, no?
- If I login using my new account and try to use the compare function in BFHQ, BF2 gets stuck on 'loading player data'. It never gets to load it.

Has this happened to anybody else?
If you try to load up my stats from within BF2 (account: Labrador_wow_wow), do the stats load for you guys?

I'd like my unlocks back... :-/

There's just some problem in the account server... Wait awhile and it should work again

Delete the account and retrieve it again, that should fix it

Hi guys,

It's been going on for a week now - think i waited long enough

I did delete the account (moved the profiles folder) and tried the retrieve account method. Same problem.

Yep, tried it on two PC's (see my original post). Same symptoms on both.

What I'd like to know is whether you can recreate that problem by pulling my account data in BFHQ. When I try that (with my "new" account), BF2 kind of freezes.

Check here: http://www.pbbans.com/mbi.php?action=1&game_id=13 if one of your other accounts or your IP have been banned by Punkbuster... if it was you can file an appeal

Sometimes it just takes forever to load, login and literally go away for 30 min and see if it's logged in yet. If no, something's up, if yes, EA's servers go on the fritz like that sometimes.

Didn't use any hacks or something like that. My stats are still there on bf2s.com.
I'm not on the ban list of Punkbuster either. Waited more than ages for that bloody login to happen, but zilch, zip, nada, nothing.

Did anybody try to load my account information through BFHQ? I always get a lock up when I try to access it using my new account (eg. I look at the stats of my old account using my new account). Does anybody fancy running the risk of using alt-ctrl-del?

Wonder if the account database isn't messed up or something.

well... i'd email EA Support... see if your account file got corrupt

Tried e-mailing them but not much luck. They came back with box-standard answers (uninstall and reinstall and similar) but nothing useful.
They didn't go as far as checking my account file. If somebody could *please* try to access my stats and see if it doesn't load (like on my 2 PC's)... :-D

Edit: I also think the account file is corrupt...

Finally found a solution. I had to change my IP address and it then logged in immediately. Strange...!
